I'd like to help some on the ROF2 testing. I certainly spent tons of time working with the new codes in T9 and realize how long and arduous the process can be. I would appreciate it if someone could write a short guide to getting up and running with ROF2 and the test server.

I downloaded a version of ROF2 over a year ago, but, not wanting to jump into that if someone has already got a nice zipped package that works. This morning I didn't find the test server although I did run the batch file that was provided.

Thanks in advance for the pointers.

Thanks Denizen, we should have an Rof2 version ready to download soon. If you have RoF2 already then all you need to do is change your eqhost file to the following to log into the test server: (If you log in via eqemulator.net login server then you'll find the test server down near the bottom of the list.)

Host=thfdev.dyndns.org:5999


If you need an RoF2 version of MQ2 then you can download from here, just select RoF2 and classic build: http://mqemulator.net/downloads.php. All your macros can just be copied over from UF mq2 and they should all work fine.

But bows won't use arrows in power source slot. My Ranger is a sad Ranger without his bow.

Ahh I see what you mean now, they fit in power slot instead of the ammo slot, ok will take a look at that :)

Gonna add this in case it got missed in the original post.

Can items currently marked as "must equip" to cast be tagged "can equip". This allows them to be cast from bags without swapping and still prevents say a Warrior from using an item flagged for only Mages for example.

Ammo slot mix up should be sorted, looks like the test server struggled to run the inventory upgrade script properly first time round. If you had any items in the power slot, then they'll probably get moved to your inventory when you log in again.

I've changed must equip, to "Click from inventory with class/race/lvl" which should do the trick.

Also this is a good test of another new server feature "hotfix", where I just updated a few thousand items and applied the changes without needing to restart the server.

In guildhall right-click VT token from inside slot 1 bag, tae ew hide sack and received augment but cannot get it off the cursor. Will not go into bag or open bag slot. It allowed me to give to pet but I cancelled trade now augment is in open bag slot but I cannot move it.

After quitting and coming back in I can move the aug around. I also attempted to perform same steps again and it did not repeat the issue with or without MQ running.

Fairies in guild hall do not respond to hails. Lix, Tali, Flinx, Lira

Elyse and Trixy do but are showing different graphic

Thanks Niix. I could reproduce the token/summoned item issue being stuck.

Faeries are working fine, might be a text filter on your end that cuts the text out? Try to target Lix and /say Feerrott, see if that works.

Thanks Niixnec, I think that the issue with the token is because one of the update scripts which adjusts the slot numbers of inventories didn't run properly on the test server but I can say that it works fine locally so all should be good there, and it corrects itself anyway.

The fairies worked ok for me and Elyse and Trixie just look different because its halloween event at the moment. Not sure what was happening with the lack of response from some fairies unless it was just heavy lag on the test server.
