ROF2 Beta Test Server

First off . Whee for getting ROF2 working :)

1) items that are must equip - minor quality of life fix would be adjusting these to "can equip" as a check to click, let us take advantage of the casting from bags fully
2) server ping is high, not sure if that's new code or just the location of this server, figured I'd list it just in case.

I'll post dmg parses in replies as I get them done.

I've attached my batch file to help others copy character server settings from live to test.

Arena dummy scripts appear to be broken, i started a five minute parse and 6+ mins later still beating on it without being FD"d and getting the dmg report. could be tied to lag

*edit* they did eventually fire, seems ot be lag related.

Pet dmg was only one that seemed normal, assuming lag affected the melee boxes. Usually if melee changes break things it affects pets too, so melee damage might be okay overall. I'll test caster stuff in a bit.

Thanks for the feedback! Please keep it coming.

The lag is due to the location of the test server and the software environment so it'll be at least how it is on live (or better!) when testings are done.

DPS is probably my main concern as that was one of the biggest changes in the server code that impacted the server so thanks for trying the parsing, I'm not sure if I've balanced it too high or too low.

Test server speed isn't the greatest, I've just switched off a load of logging to file as I think disc read/write speed isn't one of the test server's strong points so hopefully that helps.

In addition to dps parsing, can you also please try a few runs through t9 content if possible?

The two main features I'd like tested are

1) does the difficulty feel close or the same (that's tied to dps anyway, mostly, as nothing else is likely to be different)?
2) does the scripting all work?

The latter is key because there's a lot of change with the quest systems and code. I think we caught most of the bugs and issues and Pete was able to test up to T8 content but T9 is the area we need help with.

To be honest, it's going to be hard to tell if timing of scripts is working, if even the timing from the arena test dummies is off from the lag. Even moving my chars to arena was laggy, I don't think I'd be able to complete any t9 fight under these conditions, but I'll try after work and report back.

Caster dps also reports low, but that seems to be more due to the fact that the npc went invuln but the script didn't feign everyone so there were all resisted spells at the end. During the fight spells seemed to land as normal.

Yeah unfortunately bandwidth is limited on the test server, I'm currently running around with a small raid of 9 and it's coping ok with that, so you might just have to keep the raid size down a bit, even if you do the t8 group instances that'd give a good idea too.

I have done the DSK3 bosses and all of those scripts worked fine as far as I could tell, Vex Thule not tested yet though.

DPS seems ok so far with t6 characters, I'm wondering if pet damage is maybe a little too high, more so with Beastlord warders.

The numbers I saw for pets was pretty consistent with what I recall from live. This was donor pets, draekon pets and 2 t8 mage pets.

If the test server is too laggy to test out VT then don't worry. It's not likely there's much unique scripting there that we've missed elsewhere and if something isn't working when we go live we'll deal with it as a priority.

Main thing is we want to catch any major show stoppers and make sure dps is close enough to current values.

As soon as we go live I'll be able to start getting the new content live as well so we don't want to hang about for too long with this test. We're pretty sure it's about good to go.

Sune donor arm and donor travel pets are untargettable.
