Anyone clearing >T8 with a single group?

Hi fellas, just wondering, I had my first Xeru fight yesterday and it was intense. Anyone is doing it comfortably on the higher tier with just a group? Kindly share your stories and secret, I am sure not a lot of us are having an army of toons

With some tricky placement of your tank, and well you would prob need a overgeared or donor tank, you can single group xeru. I have not done it myself but have seen others do it. I am able to do all of T8 (minus the fights that require more than 1 grp by design, like twins or gatekeeper) with my 6man group. Although I could not do it until I was already pretty much full T8 geared, which I did with guilds. By that point I was just soloing them for rare drops. I do not think you would be able to do T8 single grp without the help of donor gear. There is a very large boost in power from T7 to T8 and I dont think you would have a strong enough tank and def not enough dps from a single group to take down the T8 bosses.

You could however take down Dreakon once you learn his fight, as his dmg output is very low and there isnt really any penalty for having low dps. I would bet you could take out Oligrath as well, although you would get dispelled and stuned every time from lack of dps, with a strong tank and some luck you could probably pull it off.

You will need to farm the evolving gear and work on augs before any of the raid mobs will be in reach. Thankfully that is much quicker now with the changes to godly points.

It was during my time with Xeru that I decided to make my second group. I had him down to 10% and I'm positive that I could have killed him with another attempt or two, but I knew I'd eventually want a second group and it seemed like a good time.

My group at the time was a sk tank with 3 donor pieces, donor mage and necro pets, Bard, sham, and cleric. This was before I got the cleric donor wep and I'm positive I could have handled the encounter easily with just that addition.

Going into t8 and beyond, unless you are fairly heavily donored you will have a hard time on raid events with a single group. Maybe a couple bosses in nadox/hoh, but you will be at a serious disadvantage without a second tank.
