We suspect the changes/issues might be related to the last Data Center outage, announced in this post. The reason for the outage was network hardware upgrade and bone network development.

We will also revert some changes that might been related to the desyncs just to make 100% sure the issue is not server code side.

Btw the time outs for ping commands are totally fine, not every network hop allow ping replies to clients. Also, the server is in a world class data-center in Europe, it's not in "mom's basement".

Understood, and I apologize for posting about the Trace Route without fully knowing about the ping replies. I never intended it to be an insult to the server and network setup.

No insult taken Trust us, we are running around trying to figure out what could be causing the issues. We are 99% positive though that it is not the server code. We are putting together a final build that reverts all the recent internal changes of late to be 100% sure that it is not the code acting up. Our assumption is that something done during the data center downtime is the culprit behind all these issues.

Normal time of night about 4:35am PDT got disconnected again... seems to be a pattern here happens pretty much every night from 2-4:30AM PDT

yet another DC, sitting around 2 chars in vale 1 in GH and trader in baz, all DC'd, had to restart comp to log back in

Next time someone is having the log in issues, try using a ipconfig /flushdns command from a cmd window.

We are sure that this is no longer related to the server coding at all and is an actual internet/connection issue due to whatever changes the datacenter made. Everything that was changed in the past 2ish weeks (server code wise) has been reverted.

I DC'd again last night with 1 char beating a dummy stupid and my trader. Woke up this morning and didnt have to do what you suggested vaion just logged in normally without issue. Not trying to attack you guys, but the disconnection has to deal with your private login server, not us which it looks like you're trying to say. Im running a 50+m/s connection running raidcall when it happens, with how touchy RC is id disconnect from it too if it had to deal with my connection. A guildie that also runs a 50+ connection gets the same issue, yet when he cant log in through the private login he can log in just fine through the eqemu login. Another whos in the boondocks Missouri thats running off an antenna on his roof does not suffer this. No idea whats going on but, i dc twice a day, everyday same with other guildie. Its statically around the same times every time it happens

yep and I previously had a desync on like 6 toons (out of 16) while zoning from Vale to Ghall 1h30 ago.
