Took 25 in there today - 2 pc's - same configuration works in VT.
Zoned all in without issue, normal ping 154-167, same as other zones.
Buffed up without issue, pulled and killed everything in first hallway, no spikes / issues. Moved team into Muvel room. Ran bard through pit to Death Knight room and partially up stairs. Used crimson bull orb to coh Nec. Nec ping went up to 200. Used group coh, wiz in group sent to character select and not pulled. Moved Nec through raid groups to group coh rest of raid. Lost one other wiz in group 3, crashed to desktop. 2 other groups had wiz and no issue.

Pulled Death Knight room, killed but connect meter would consistently drop to 99% then back to 100%.

1st pc wiz who crashed to character select, brought back in and ping at 2k. Steadily moved up to 20k before sent back to char select. Tried to get back in and client crashed to desktop.

2nd pc wiz who crashed to desktop, restarted client. Logged back in, ping at 5k, crashed to character select after 3-4 minutes.

Attempted multiple times to bring both wizards back in but would not allow me back into the game. Ping on other clients climbed into the thousands until all disconnected. From who is online looks like another group, possibly more tried to zone in while i was in there.

Not trying to derail the thread but when someone is playing 24+ toons, lag could easily happen due to local network issues, being connected over mis-configured routers, WiFi packet losses, etc.

Not bad and quite funny enough to farm the arena pit. Tested with 18

The only reason I assume that this isn't an issue is that it does not occur everywhere. We run 24 through DSK3 with zero lag or desync. We take the same exact setup with nothing changing to VZ/TZ/RZ or nadox and there is heavy desync. Also with our 24 we also had a friend playing only 6 from the other side of the world and he would receive the same desync we would on our end. Which leads me to believe its less than a local issue, but I absolutely don't rule it out. Ultimately I am just hoping to play lag free because that tends to be a bigger obstacle than any encounter we have tried thus far, and as I stated throughout the thread I am open to any suggestions on making it work. We do seem to be in the minority on raid size so I know this isn't a server-wide issue and while I don't want to take up all of Vaion's time for essentially myself as I want him to be able to keep working on new content.

In the end I am not sure why some zones seem to be fine and some seem to desync. It tends to only happen in combat and only in certain zones. Easiest way to test is when burning down a target the HP will constantly bounce and spells will become delayed. This happens on trash and bosses. Honestly the easiest thing to pinpoint I would assume would be the Rallos Zek encounter. It is a single mob in a zone with no other mobs, and it desync's horribly once the fight gets going. Rallos is also an encounter someone other than myself (Rafe) has said has issues with high player counts.

We tried VZ last night and received similar desync last night with HP bouncing and spells being delayed. However it seems you may have made some more changes since we tried so will go back in later when we get a chance.

If it helps, I have been playing using 20 since 2013. I can use the same 25 in VT or Chaos event without issue. I have run 24 in Nadox recently without issue.

Prior to 2014/15? we used to have 72 person raids, plus another 12 in zone and never seen the issues that we have now. When Tatics first came out I was running 18 and we would hit 72 person raids between all the folks in NV. HoH would get 130 people in it and my 20 would still work fine. I tried HoH the other day with 22 and one other 8 person crew and the lag was so bad I stayed for 2 pulls.

Went through VZ/TZ/RZ just now. No desync in any wings including Rallos. However I had some issues with login server timing out on me / timing out while loading back into the world from server select so I couldn't get 24th character online, so this was all done with 23.

Hmmm going to dig a little deeper and see specifically what all is running in the zone behind the scene.

I’ve pretty much fixed all filters at this point though, so that should be coming back online in the next reboot.

The part that is tripping me up is that the desyncs seem to only happen in combat. And I even recall once when I popped a GM event that players were beating on, eventually the mass combat in the zone caused it to crash... going to go pull the logs from that day and take a gander.

Side note again.. Log in issues might be eqemu login server related too. Do you guys use THF LS?

Things seemed better after the latest updates in regards to desync. I went into Vistrinda with 24 characters and nobody seemed to desync except my tank. My Tank desync'd horribly and I died as a result however I think this is still a chat message issue. 23 characters seemed to be okay, while I didn't check every window to make sure they werent desyncing, the character I was using to free eggs was not desync'd. After I wiped as a result of my tank desync everyone made it through the zone except the tank (which usually if characters desync they crash on zone). This leads me to believe that 23 of my 24 did not desync.

The reason I assume it is still a chat message issue causing the desync is with it only effecting my tank on the vistrinda fight, I ASSUME that it was caused by the melee hits on my tank. As ive said before I have virtually everything filtered, one of the few messages I do let through are messages of melee hits being done to me, because I like to be able to know how hard things are hitting me instead of it being a mystery. However I am considering filtering these messages since I think they are what is causing my tank desync.

I did not switch to adds on vistrinda until quite a few were built up, resulting in the what looked to be new You are going to be ported soon you have too many mobs on you message. As a result I obviously have a LOT of things hitting my tank all at once which was likely flooding my chat with RandomDude hits for 40008.

Going in for another attempt shortly with these messages filtered, ill let you know what happens.
