Dont know if this is the right place to post, but since a week or two back I have been starting to get alot of character "desyncs" or what you want to call it. In the middle of a fight its like a char times out, cant cast spells and on if i look on another chars screen the toon that is desynced just stands still. I have not had any issues with this before and I havent changed anything on my side - is there any way to troubleshoot this on my end, or is it a server issue? Anyone else have these problems? I do have up to 18 chars on, but it happens even if I am down on 2 groups as well,

We've been having this issue recently as well, especially in VT. One work around I've found is to turn off all your text filters like spell dmg, dmg shield, etc. At this point I only keep chat texts and my own melee dmg (and pet dmg for the pet classes).

After making this change, none of my toons would desync.

Does the new ROF2 client allow for more player stats, or is that a limitation of this server?

After a certain tier, stats (str, sta, cha etc) dont matter because they are capped. That new shiny breastplate you just looted with all it's new stats can be mostly ignored, the only real things that matter are hit points, mana, focus affects, worn affects , etc. It could have no str/dex/agi etc and it wouldnt matter.

The new client doesn't affect the overall stat cap for the base stats (STR, DEX, AGI, etc). Those values are set in the code and are pretty much static across the board. Of course the stat cap AA's and buffs will allow you to have higher values, but eventually what you want to focus on are the heroic stats. Those stats do not have limits (well they do but its a stupidly high number you will never reach), and they aid you in different means.

Heroic stat information can be found here: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/EQ:Heroic_Stats
I am 99% positive that EQEmu implemented them to match EQLive, so what you see on that post should match the results in game.

Also remember that you can only SEE heroic stats on items with the SoF or newer client. Titanium clients will not be able to see them in game, but they are still active (just not visible for Titanium) for all characters no matter what client is used.

I bet you developers are wanting to chuck Titanium out the window when the new client is finished.

Don't really know honestly. Haven't checked. Although right now I can tell you that the code is still limited to the normal amount available, not sure if client has a limit though.

Yes and no :)

Titanium is nice because it is probably the most stable of all the clients. It's been in development the longest and has the most basic structural work down. But on the flip side, the new clients offer so many new features and improvements that it's a hard toss up of which to "throw out the window". Right now the plan is to support them all :)

Anyone know if the newer client zones faster? It seems the more AA you have, the slower you zone. Sometimes I love playing noob toons with no AA just so they dont take all day to zone.

Zoning in general across all clients was dramatically improved. With a single character zoning I was averaging 37s on live and I now average 19s on test
