At some point in the past I must have donated for this character because I found a lillu's solvent in her bank. Sorry for the cry for help.

You can right click the aug slots on gear to destroy augs now and don't need distillers if you don't want to keep them/easily farm them again.

Enrikk...back when you were using your necro Bodice, there was no Tier system for toons. A relatively fresh 70 toon could get and equip any gear, including Tier 9 gear. But toon Tiers were introduced about two years ago and so that's not the case anymore. In Live EQ, toon level is what's used to match progressing toons to better and better armor but here in THF its more like "there are two toon levels..."70" and "everything else". 8-) And so the new Tier system Is being used, I guess, to sorta slow the down the gear advancement rate. The points that are required to advance the toon tiers are forcing players (like me) to stop using Tier 3 shoulders when the rest of the gear is T8/9. It also forces us to to load up our gear with augs even when we don't want to, in order to accumulate enough tier points to advance.

And as for augs...in Live EQ (and for EMUs that closely mimic Live), you need the Augmentation Solvent item to Remove an aug, which results in its destruction. To remove without destruction, you need either the proper class of Augmentation Distiller or the all-classes-in-one Perfected Augmentation Distiller. But here in THF, no solvent is needed for destructive removal (although you can still see it sold...look for the vendor box next to the bird bath in your guild hall). And Lillu's Magic Distiller (item 2672) is used in place of the Perfected Augmentation Distiller. The Perfected was probably never added to the database because Lillu's was always going to be a part of the game's revenue stream. The old class-type distillers can still be seen in the database but they are not offered by any vendor that I can find. Lillu's can be gotten by:

1) Outright purchase with donation money.
2) Inclusion with the purchase of donor gear.
3) Rewarded in various ways during holiday events or special events.
4) Purchased from Zimbo the Haggle Baron for 75 AA points. He can be found in the Qeynos Aqueduct zone.

You did not see Zimbo when you looked up Lillu's in the webtools because he is not a "normal" vendor and so the database program cannot "see" him.

Hopefully this is the right thread. I have noticed this on a few characters when they hit the required points for next level it takes more points on top if it to get it to actually advance.

Have you removed piece that's equipped and put it back on? This is what usually needs to be done.

I suspect that you inserted an aug (or more) into an item and then did #myrank. The check for an increase in tier happens on equipment change so as Mystickitty says, re-equipping an item should trigger the rank up.

Having said this, I'll see if it's possible to add the check when an aug is inserted as well.

Removed and reequipped. Zoned in and out, remove and reequiped again. Camped came back. All the above.

Ahh ok, it must be either a bug in the #myrank total, or in the calculation that works out the actual tier increase. I suspect it's something to do with adding up the donator items incorrectly, at tier 8 a tier 10 item should only count as 9 so maybe that's where the extra points are coming from. That would suggest the #myrank total is incorrect.

Possibly but lets take Hork for a non donor example. He just hit Tier 6 in the rankings forgive me I don't remember the exact point count required for T6 status was it 375? I don't think I have added augs to him since he hit that tier.

Since he is just a play project he has like no augs(seriously look at his magelo its funny), was running around with no mask, good times, tier points 378. Which if 375 was the total needed he should have hit 6 but didn't.
Hork then horks a Firey Mask of Chaos 123495 tier points go up to 385 and then he moves up a tier, everyone sees the broadcast get the OOC gratz. We laugh because all he does is hork up the rots.

His next rank is at 500 for Tier 7. I will report back when I get around to getting him some augs..

At 831 points Nizzy crossed the threshold and it moved him to T9. Still have more testing to do with the non donor toon.

So far unable to recreate this, it's very strange. I got Hork on my local server and he had 391 points, then I added leafs of the hidden forest and as soon as he flipped over 500 he got the next rank. Maybe it's specific gear or something, but if you notice with another character maybe I can copy it locally and recreate here.
