Anyone else losing aggro lately?

I'd like to create an unoffical poll, if we can call it that.

How many tank's in the last 3 days or so, have had an issue on bosses losing aggro, and not being able to gain it back? Possibly after mashing taunt? This most likely will nto apply to warriors but moreso to Shadowknight's and Paladin's.

I'm trying to see, as i saw in ooc saturday night, that I as a pally am not alone.

Please if u can list breifly if u lost aggro and the situation. Myself im finding it occurs randomely on bosses only. Not having any issue that ive caught on trash mobs, whether i have 2 or 20 trash mobs. I find im losing aggro near immediately and permenantly on bosses when i accid hit my taunt, out of habit. Though it is quite possible too, that indirectly the hate generated via the spells we taunt with was changed. Everything atm is speculation only, and this is why im posting this and asking for players feedback.

My paladin hasn't lost aggro regardless of the use of taunt that I have seen. The only time I have lost is if a warrior accidentally taunts off.

I've noticed aggro is all over the place but I dont mind. I can fade my bard and FD my monk and then its either on my warrior or paladin.

I'll look at the code and see what is happening. My guess would be that something with the new taunt code is pushing the value over the limits which would default it back to 0.

Something to test:
1) test fighting mobs without using taunt and see if the aggro issues are still present.
2) test fighting mobs using ONLY taunt, see if after awhile you drop aggro like what you guys are describing.

I am more than likely positive the value is going over the cap and reseting the hate value back to 0 which would put you below everyone else.

Vaion thank you. I'll test it both ways, and post anything i see regarding it. Is there a different threat calculator or variable between bosses and trash? I'm imagining there would be, but not certain. Like i said ive only seen it break on bosses, and not all bosses as well. I'll keep a list of what seems to be issue and doesnt over next week. And post anything i find or nothing at all if it seems to be fine now.

Eitherway i appreciate your looking into it for us, it really seemed bad on saturday and sunday mainly. And i know for a fact i hit my taunt out of habit cause its the next item i hit after attack, and before i spam spells etc. Although it may not be the cause. Paladin's never really had superior aggro ability at all, but i never lost aggro on bosses once i had it, unless it was a perma rooted boss and i moved out of the hit box.

The issue is fixed with the next code update. It's exactly what I thought, the hate value was going overflowing and enterin negative values which would make it impossible for you to regain aggro.

The reason you only saw this on bosses was because it would only happen after like 5-10 minutes of fighting/aggro increasing. Once the tank overflowed on the hate value it was impossible to get aggro back.

Again, this is fixed with the next code update.
