I can confirm that Claw of the Phoenix makes me get hit harder. I eyeballed it and saw that I was getting hit for "364" a lot of the without it, then when I popped it, I started getting hit for "429". I looked up the spell and its self only and listed as a red Detrimental. When I saw that it was -18% and not postive (my warrior has a positive one which I know works and is well battle tested) I opened the calc and sure enough, if you do "364 * 1.18" you will get 429.52.

BUT I also noticed that it says I assume a "crippled fighting style" so maybe it does make sense?
