Tier 8 Spell Issues

Covenant of Flameweilder Rk. I ~ Spell description on scroll is incorrect or the targeting is, bought it about 15 minutes ago thinking "yay, group damage shield upgrade" as it's exact description reads:

"Spell Effect: Surrounds your group in the maelstrom of Ro, damaging any creature that attacks them."

After scribing the scroll it's a single target version which I really wouldn't have bothered with or at least would have seriously moved down the priority list for my multi-box group. Mana cost seems in-line with a group spell... circle of fireskin is 585, Covenant of Flameweilder Rk. I is 860. Covenant of Flameweilder Rk. I also shares the same casting time as the group damage shields.

A lot of T8 RkI spells are single target that get upgraded to group for Rk II. Like shaman's gladiator and spirit of the lion, druid moon curse, enchanter buffs. Pretty much all of the t8 buffs are that way (except for the HP-related ones for some reason. temperance, focus, etc all seem to be group versions at rnk I)

Entwining Thoughts Rk. II cannot be scribed when the Rk. I version already is. An error message explaining that the Rk. I is better than the Rk. II stops it from happening.

Very recently my entwining thoughts rk1 spell stopped getting any benefit from focus effects from items. The spell is only hitting for 3900 when it was previously hitting for over 7k with the focus effects of Immortal Thunder.

Was this intended or can it be changed back?

Can be reverted to original version but then the (magic) resist check would also be back. A simple spell file edition won't fix both the resist and focus issues so some custom code might be needed. I'll ask V to play with it.

Overbearing Power Rk. II and Scent of Mastery almost never land on bosses in HoH (but land a little more in Nadox), making these two spells not-super-viable in t8.

If you're looking to retune it (and maybe you're not) might I suggest one or more of the following:
1) switching Scent of Mastery to magic resist (instead of disease which is ridiculously difficult to lower)
2) boosting the bard debuff, Harmony of Sound
3) giving Overbearing Power a better resist check against poison
4) giving Torrent of Malsoin a better resist check

or keep it as is, just making you guys aware if you weren't already =)
