Incoming feedback then :

I put my claws on the mage spell yesterday and I'm quite dubious about that rod.

I mean, a whole TEN minutes recast for a 6k over 3 pulses dot ? Is it really necessary to have such a long recast on it ? I know you can summon it to other peeps but at 1Kmana a pop, not going to spend all my time giving it around (modrod era is over and buried :roll: ). I can achieve similar dps through thunder of ice.

Actually it should have been a expendable item, means you click it, it poofs. One time deal. Keep in mind that as you already pointed out anyone can use that and that click from 10 people at once is quite a DPS boost.

Ok if its expendable (btw i just changed this to a potion because i thought expendable item didn't work lol) - why is recast delay an issue?

Well, isn't the combo of 1 charge/10min a bit much ? (expandable doesn't matter)

You could indeed outfit people with it for a burst of DPS, but let's face it, 6K base over 3 pulses, any class can achieve that, heck I almost make this with one nuke. it's not a collossal burst. Personnally, I <might> outfit a group/raid, provided I'm in a very good mood and I'm with close friends, but else, dream on. Mages aren't vending machines.

And I'd rather actually nuke than target myself, summon the thing (9s, yuck), put it in a slot, re-target the foe and toss the dot. While doing that, I can toss a thunder of ice and click my fungus pod a couple times.

I could understand the timer for unlimited charges, yes, people could indeed toss a slight burst here and then.
If it had one charge, no recast, it would anyway be the same as standard nuking if you used it immediatly (assuming you have thunder of ice).
It just occurred to me, you may be meaning that since it's expendable, timer doesn't kick for next one. Could it be this ? 'cause I just tested in game, and timer does kick for next summon.

Edit: just re-read what you wrote - ok makes sense.

Comments : 9 sec is without spellfocus. So since its beneficial its more like 4.5 secs. Mana cost has been reduced to 600 for Rank 1, 900 Rank2, 1200 Rank 3.

Retweaked to 6 sec base casting time, its 10 mins refresh now but unlimited charges, still no rent though.

Hope all is fine now.

Gonna have to try it a bit but I like it now. Between unlimited w/CD and 1 charge/noCD, I would have voted unlimited ^^

I talked about every spell component unfocused yes, it's the only logical way to compare a completely new spell with existing arsenal.

And honestly, having unlimited charges, cast time doesn't matter now; I only took it into account for a situation where you'd use it to chain nuke.

Druids could use a group heal, started me a druid and not many heals in the guild so druid is helping, could use a group heal to keep everyone up on raids.
Class : Druid
Name : Aura of Renewal
Reuse : 10 seconds
Effect : Heals group memebers for 600 - 900 damage?
