Magician Rallos Zek spell

Hello all its me to complain like a child again. Killing Rallos Zek a while back I received the magician spell and was wondering what its purpose is the spell seems to be outclassed by a spell you receive in Plane of Fire 2 tiers earlier. It is also outclassed by the Ancient spell you receive in kael/shadowhaven/ Tov etc. I Will list them below so it can be compared

Taking a quick glance over them the biggest difference that I see in them all is the duration that they last.

The Ancient spell lasts for 36s for 500pt dmg
The Chaotic spell lasts for 60s (1 Min) with a 54s recast *I also believe this spell has a hit limit on it that is not shown on clone*
The PoTactics spell lasts for 120s for 450pt dmg.

Looking at the spells they seem to offer a wide range of potential capabilities that could be used depending on what you are wanting to get done. If you are looking for a longer duration/more mana efficient DS then PoTactics would be the key. If you are looking for a short duration (maximum number of hits) but high DS output and low mana efficiency then Chaotic would be the cake. Then if you were looking for a middle ground with better DS output but little less mana efficiency/duration, Ancient would be the place to go.

All in all they are not set up "horribly" but could use some finer tuning. If you have specifics in mind, please feel free to post them and we will evaluate and implement what we can.

Well I might get ripped apart here but this is what I would like to see happen in a perfect world.
I believe that the Ancient and Plane of Fire spells should remain the same as I think they both fit in line where you receive them. But I would offer that the Magician spell should have a complete overhaul and look at the other spells every other class gets from Rallos drop or drunder quest. These spells and skills are all still useful at tier 9 and tend to be something the class is known for.For example group heal for cleric, archery stance for ranger and etc etc for the other classes. I would say that Magicians in live where known for their pets, their ability to buff said pets, to have some nukes and rains of the magical and fire elements, fire based damage shields single and group targer, then finally to summon items that can be used as clickies or weapons for pets. The class receives spells that cover everyone one of those basis at 70+ in the tiers of raiding except a spell to buff their pets. The last one they receive is at 69 and does the following.

As such the class shares most of its pet buffing with other classes that are not as well know for it with the item. http://www.thehiddenforest.org/webtools ... p?id=69417

What I would say the spell should be in line with is something as follows and I will use the name it currently has to simplify matters. And the description is fluff that popped in my head cause you can only get the spell in Drunder. And since the names of many of the other spells have something to do with Rallos, Tallon or Vallon

Veil of Mastery
Surviving the Legion of Rallos Zek you have learned to take the rage of the Warlord and Infuse it into the Elementals at your call. Casting this spells creates a Veil of rage and martial skill to settle over your companion increasing its speed strength and skill immensely.

Effects: Increase Attack Speed 90%, Modify Physical Damage by 12%, AC+ 1600 and Attack +100

Granted all I did was just add a few numbers up on the Aged Sarnak Channeler Staff. I don't know if this would unbalance things in the game but I believe it would be a neat idea to give this to a class that used to be known for its companion/pet.

While the lazy me would prefer to keep the best haste being the sarnak staff so I can save a gem slot, it would be nice to see a new pet haste. Maybe keep it same % haste but add a crit or flurry mod that stacks with everything?

How about:

+85% Haste
+15% Max Dmg
+100 ATK
+1600 AC
+Proc: Elemental Aura I (innate 30s cooldown between procs)

Elemental Aura I:
- If the pet is a Fire pet: casts an AoE 750pt DS that lasts for 12s
- If the pet is an Earth pet: casts an AoE 5% melee mitigation that lasts for 12s
- If the pet is an Air pet: casts an AoE 5% Haste V3 that lasts for 12s
- If the pet is a Water pet: casts an AoE 5% Max Dmg V3 that lasts for 12s

Would add some fun unique attributes to the magician only pets and give them more functionability in encounters.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

This would be shiny and new, and I like where it's going. A 5th choice for the donor pet possible or does he qualify as the earth since it's a warrior npc?

We could fiddle with the donor pet in there also.. or maybe just add an "all other" so monster summons and what not could get a bonus also.

Lets see.. maybe...

- If not one of the above category pets: cast an AoE 1000pt Rune that lasts for 12s


That wouldn't be to over powered but still beneficial in a lot of places.

We talking pure aoe, group AoE, pet aoe? I'd kill for pure aoe, group aoe would be lovely, pet aoe nice.

Well I must say thank you for taking my opinion and running with it. If that was the final product I would be absolutely ecstatic for the spell you put forward.

talking pure aoe. So it would hit players + pets.

I'm working on getting it working right now 8-)
