MQ2 and custom titles

Post#1 » Sun Aug 11, 2013 3:05 pm

Is there any way to make the suffix and prefixes actually display when using MQ2? Just got a custom title after seeing quite a few people with them and thinking that even with MQ2 on, it would show up. However, it hasn't shown up. :(

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Shwicked for this answer.

Simply type /caption Player4
And this will show you pre and suffix. :)

Enjoy sirs, was tired of not having my prefix and did some browsing around the internet. It does significantly increase frame usage though especially when 6-XX toons you have loaded are all loading full titles.

If you use mq2 you can customize what you see.
MacroQuest.ini -> [Captions] -> Player1/2/3/4/NPC/Pet
NamingSpawn has access to the members of spawn if you cared to use any of it.
Myself I only display character name, guild name and status like LD/AFK/LFG for players
For npc I display Name/Level/PctHPs. Marginally useful when you are doing an encounter where you care about what percent something is at but do not want to target it or use a newer client with extended target and have agro on the npc(s) in question.

I'm lurking around EMU but really busy with real life at this time, baby, house (yes another move) and fighting the good fight against mother nature and bad elected officials.
Living in Colorado keeps me busy.
I try to keep an eye on this section as its the only part of the server where I can contribute to the users at this time.
