/Stick Not Working

I seem to have an issue with /stick keeping my group together. I am trying to box 6, and a couple of my characters will be begin to slide off in whatever direction they were facing previously. The only way that seems to work for them to turn and move the correct direction is switching to their screen for it to adjust.

I have streamlined the installation per the sticky above with the slave EQ folder, and that has helped. I disabled the plugin mq2fps which helped as well, but still having these issues. Sometimes it works well for 3-4 of the boxes, but a couple always seem to get lost. Not sure if there are any other items that need to get adjusted.

I have checked my CPU usage and it seems to be higher (was 95% before making the optimizations in the sticky post) than I would think for my setup, but perhaps that is the issue.

Few problems here one is the staff will not assist with 3rd party programs. Stick is working fine its most likely fps issue. By default everquest runs at max it should be set to around 25. Also with stickrange you want to set a distance. So with that being said try using /stick 5 on your toons with a fps setting of 25 see if that greatly improves. Also mq2fps is awesome and def not the problem. It can be cpu power issue or even your net also causing delays / lag at random times for characters. Is a lot that comes into play with this issue to just rule it as one thing. hehe Also by default everquest is a single core ran game so say you have 4 cores your running your toons on one single core. You need to enable cpu affinity in the ini to force everquest to spread the accounts on all threads. Which will help drop your cpu usage tremendously.

So can i set my frame rate through the fps plugin? I can look up how to adjust that myself, just wasn't sure where to start.

What needs to be added to the .ini file to enable cpu affinity? Is that in one of the optimization posts?

I tried looking through other sites for some help, but it seems my issue isn't happening to anyone else, or all my search parameters weren't matching up (more likely).

I will take a look into it this afternoon, thanks for some ideas, I will look into it today and see how it goes. Appreciate the help.

Well the fps is something in your actual everquest client options while in game. Its set to around iirc 250 which is max lower that to 25 as eq cant even throttle that high to begin with so such a wonky setting to begin with. As for the cpu affinity use google type in how to set everquest cpu affinity and it will take you to daybreak forums where some have posted it them self. Also there are a number of posts here on thf with cpu affinity settings can find them searching for people like Rafe and looking for performance posts.

In case someone else has the problem. I am using WinEQ, and the problem is related to that and the stick command.

You have to turn on a mode that functions different. Not sure if i can post the solution here, but searching for mq2moveutils and wineq should turn it up.

Assuming you mean updating the ini for mq2moveutils to have wineq=on ? I can confirm I have that setting and haven't seen issues with stick like described
