So you want to use MQ2 autologin?

After hours of trial and error, I finally got MQ2's autologin working. I have this setup so there is an icon for each of my characters on the desktop. I just click on the characters I want to play and they log all the way into the game.

1. Go to your MQ2 folder and open up MQ2AutoLogin.ini. If for some reason you dont have one, create it. Here is what you need.

KickActiveCharacter=1
InstantCamp=0
UseStationNamesInsteadOfSessions=1
UseINIServerList=1

[ServerList]
HiddenForest=12

[Account]
Password=your PW
Server=HiddenForest
Character=Character you want to log in

[Account]
Password=your PW
Server=HiddenForest
Character=Character you want to log in

Repeat for every account/character you play.

One caveat, the server number can change. So if you get stuck at the server select screen, the server number has changed. Here is how you check for the server number. Go to your EQ install folder and open up eqlsPlayerData.ini. You will see the following which gives the server number.

LastServerID=12

So if the number changes, just edit the HiddenForest=# line under [ServerList] in the MQ@AutoLogin.ini file.

2. Next we can create a shortcut for each character we play.

Go to your eq install folder again. Right click on the eqgame.exe file and make a shorcut.

Right click on the newly created shortcut file and click properties. In the Target: box, after eqgame.exe put a space, then type patchme /login:accountname. Be sure to type in your account name and not the actual words accountname. Click apply and OK. Now right click on this newly created file and select rename. Name the file your characters name. Lastly, right click on the file again and select send to desktop.

Congrats, you now can click on your characters name and he/she will log all the way into the game.

You can repeat the last step for every character you play.

If you have any troubles, send a tell in game to Sevey and I will be happy to provide what assistance I can. Just don't ask for help with ISboxer since I don't use it.

Will edit my set up to this. Mine is similar but is how Rafe posted it with a sequential numbering on each account (1, 2, 3 etc.) and if 1 char crashed and I tried to log it back in, it would autologin the wrong account even tho I was clicking on another chars eq window. Hopefully the [account] solves that?

May I enquire which download of mq2 you're (all) using? I'm using a Stormhaven build which unfortunately doesn't have autologin. But I didn't want to use a build that may inadvertently break server rules

Generally you can download any and all build's that will work for your client/emu however in the end it's like a weapon/drug its in your hand and own decision which plugins you gonna load and use.
However if you would decide to use one of the very bad (illegal not going into details besides letting you do things do that a player/class isn't normally able too on this server) you will risk to get banned to 99.9%.

As far as i know most public/free builds shouldn't have any of those bad plugins and require you to go deep down into the rabbit hole to find em, but if you are unsure if a specific plugin is ok or not you should ask via PM someone that has the Authority to say so.

I made a profil for each toon and then a shortcut on desktop for each toon.

My Autologin.ini:

I use it with wineq2, works fine. You need UF or better to use it, won't work with titanium.

It took me awhile to get it right, and the sever number changes a couple times a week.

Just use [wineq2 profile name] in the .ini
