I also mentioned this back in Feb... that risk/reward in Kael vs. Icewell was kinda out of wack. Icewell was too easy, Kael was too hard... of course people thought I was out of my mind. Now, it finally gets rebalanced LOL.

Its a have, have not server. They "haves" will say its too easy because the control most of the content and the guilds they created do nto allow anyone new to join. The "have not" struggle at 55, most will quit before 70. I find it funny that all these months later the common theme is still "going from guk to sebilis kicks me ass", something we have mentioned alot when this server only had 40 ppl playing on it. The server is in fact Hard, and the top end does very little to make that any better.

The poll I want to see it "Have you stopped playing THF, and if so why?" With some appropriate logical options. I imagine as many ppl who stay on this server, there is the same number that quit mostly due to the difficulty post 55. Since the developers have posted all over the public boards how this server is solo friendly at all stages, I want to see them play a non-twinked toon from 1-70 100% solo no buffs no gear given.

You sound really bitter, my friend. I know for a fact that the top end does a lot of content testing and gives feedback information including parses that allow the developers to re-evaluate content at all tiers and levels.

Secondly, Progeny has long had open recruitment for many new players, but you have to cut recruitment off at some point, otherwise you become a revolving door where people loot and leave. On that same note, no one in the high end owes you, or any new player, anything. The common courtesy of helping new people extends only as far as the return on the investment, you get my drift?

Don't forget, the "haves" as you call them, worked their way up just the same. It's called perseverance and not quitting when it gets tough. (Even the donor toons)

I was here when the high end used to bash a new player in ooc if they asked simple question like how do you camp a bot, until Lillu spanked the high end guilds for trasdhing new players, your included, and Fusion. History only changed because the top end was scolded for trashing the bottom end.

I've been here since roughly a week or two after the server started, and I've yet to see that from any guild on this server. You group "High end" as though we're all the same people. One should be careful about generalizing, you might offend some people.

It is posted here on this very board when that was happening, in many posts from both sides and the server owner. Followed by a post by management that the highend guilds have been talked too and made to understand that tehy would not tolerate that kind of activitly any longer. You must hav been on vacation that moth, but you can go back and read it for yourself, its all there in public view.

And to answer your assumptions, I have no individual grudges against anyone. My main concern has and always was even then the fact that a) Management advertises THF across many places as a solo friendly server at all levels of content, which it is not at all true, and b) the "I have been here since the first month crowd", loves to trash anyone not that club, as if they have entitlements. If anyone new suggest anything that might change the game advatage they have, its immediately jumped on by the "I have been here since day one" crowd and killed. You yourself envoked the "I have been here forever (sic)" clause just a couple posts up.

I still raid real EQ 5 nights a week in the top guild on Maelin, THF was a fun diversion, until I actually started to read occ and was disgusted how the top end treated the bottom end daily.

You're putting words in my mouth in a different context than described, sir. I merely referenced my tenure to show that I've never experienced that sort of mistreatment first-hand since I've been on this server. If I told you I've only been here for a month, wouldn't that put zero weight to what I was trying to say? My length on this server has no bearing on my attitude towards new players, and shouldn't for any person. I'm just simply offended that you're grouping me in that category.

I've never once turned any new player down for anything, personally. Never have I insulted any new player either. Progeny won't tolerate that sort of behavior either, as it's clearly stated in our guild rules.

You're generalizing the "high-end" players and are using terms like "always" which is a very unfair assumption. I don't disagree with you, don't get me wrong. New players shouldn't be mistreated and if promised solo-able content, it should be delivered. But for the life of me, I can't find anywhere on the forums this public attack on new players. I'm not saying I don't believe you, I just can't find it.

With that said, the "haves" have every right to play by themselves, and are not obligated to help anyone, for any reason. I'd expect that in real life as much as I expect that in this game. Please don't confuse that with common courtesy.

I'm 100% honest when I say that I have yet to witness said issues in /ooc from veteran THF'ers, which is why I'm stunned that you're generalizing all high end players the same. You may feel like you're addressing an issue, but what you're doing is creating a negative stigma of all high end players, and that just isn't fair.

Certainly, the players who've been here the longest have every right to disagree with any change being proposed, just as much as new players do. Everyone is more than entitled to their opinions.
