Get in touch with me sometime in game ... before Jerant was around, I was playing Hans solo and had a very easy time of it until Seb named. Perhaps I can give you some advice.

I have been doing a lot of grouping with other DPS classes lately (Monk, Rogue, Zerker) and they can all pull agro from me very easily. None of us have Taunt, but seems I am lagging behind all of the DPS. I am pretty well equipped (pretty much the best equipment possible for my class) and I cannot hold agro when other DPS's are in the group with me. I am wondering if we can boost BL dps a bit to bring us in line with other DPS classes.

When grouped with Hans he can wait until I have a mob down by 40% join in and grab agro almost immediately. That seems wrong to me.

Bresh and I are going to do some parsing and post our findings in a new thread.

Are you adding your DPS + your Pet DPS etc? I mean your pet + panther is huge dps or not?

I can't count on Panther unless I can hire a shammy to follow me around and panther me at will. :-) Fully raid buffed is one thing, but probabyl greater than 99% of my time is spent not raiding. We do a couple raid mobs a week on a good week and if I am in the DPS group I get the good buffs like Panther. My normal time it is pretty much self buffed wtih a cleric following me around. We are counting the pet dps with mine to give a complete picture.

Jerant has some sample parses he is reviewing, I am curious to see how it looks.

The issue with you testing beast DPS via aggro is that you don't generate all of your damage. A monk is generating 100% of his damage, so he gets 100% aggro, you however are having your pet generate some of your damage so you're not getting your entire aggro amounts. Are you able to see your pets dmg from procs?

I wish i had some of my old parses from my bst, He always parsed just under my monk friend with same gear basically. always 100-200dps behind him counting warder dps & procs from both of us. And i could never out tank him.

I'm going to just order chars from needs help the most to 'is fine' of the 6 we have.

Druid- needs the most help, full healing aa and its a joke compaired to the cleric, doesn't have the ability to regain mana on short notice shm style. He nukes worse than the enc, even with the (awsome) buff to the nuke spell. I feel this class has as solid base but needs some reconsideration because major rolls were transportation, DS and kiting. It seems here that transport is taken care of. DS is a joke except for powerleveling but the second you increase DS any more it makes powerleveling way to easy. Skin like nature is a godsend for the druid line because we get some raid power finally - but again, if you release a 2,000heal /hit addition at some point, and I cast it on a level 20... Problems. Personally I spent a few years kiting stuff and I am not to excited to see druids do that, really its only good for odd raid encounters and solo play. Not much excitement from running in a circle personally.

The changes to druids I would hope would make them more group / raid friendly. Perhaps a heal that gives your next nuke a significant bonus, or a nuke that gives your next heal a significant bonus... or a DOT that increases in dmg/time, or huge short duration dmg shield that hurts the caster, or a pet (as prev mentioned) Perhaps a massively mana intensive group heal? or Grp HOT? I think you also could have some fun with a huge cast time spells - perhaps a 20 sec cast time nuke?

If you go the pet rout - I think rog is the right idea. Druid with a tank pet doesn't feel right.

Pally- First as a note - we have very minimal raid gear, but we have the best gear you can single group (+ or -). Even with all defensive aa's he gets shredded. As our tank he is the crux of the group. We give him all the best augs, upgrades etc. Even with (glory of glories) click SW gloves he falls short of -'good'- tank. Perhaps we should just join a guild, gear him up and go for the high end content that way. Because our playtime is very sporadic that might not be the best rout. It might be that he becomes balanced with Ldon gear system, but the number of times that we have had SW drop pally die and the ranger finish out tanking the fight... well... Yea, pallys could use a boost somewhere. Perhaps a self buff line improvement?

Enchanter- I made an ENC so I would have crack and slow. Thanks to Pofire for the first time I have useful crack. Slow is essential in a few cases still - and as long as those few are always in game enchanters will rock. I hope that high end content demands complex mezzing. DC is neat, a bit OP when you first get it, but balanced on the whole. Not much complaining here about enchanters, all I would say is perhaps give us a mana consumptive nuke? Because no matter what I do I can never run my enchanter out of mana first... and thats nice and all, but it takes away from the feeling of struggle. Perhaps a nice HUGE rune with a long cast / recast? Or just incrase the mana/dmg on their nuke?

Cleric- Bread and butter. Sucks solo rocks the group/raid world. Never can have enough of them. Would like to see them maintained. As far as I can tell clerics are right in the middle.

Wizzy- Feels OP, but then I realize that is probably just because he does sooo much more dmg than the druid/enc. Crits are fun, rewarding. <3 the heck out of the click on the epic. The recent buff to Ether flame was perfect.

Ranger- Brutal. Can almost tank, is badass dps, has track, ranged attack for easy boxxing, no complaints. I am sure my brother who mainly plays him would have a few things to say. Might make an intermediate bow right before Kael. If I were to tweak melee dps it would be to limit their survivability, but that is PRE raid content. I have a feeling everyone that dies to aoe ramp is very against that thought.

So those are my thoughts, note again that we are pre raid content but we can do all the mini named in fire single group after much work. We crafted our own gear on the way up through icewell and really enjoy the ability to progress every time we log in. Were super excited for Ldon.

Wizards really need a lot of help... they solely depend on their nuking to be useful in groups/raids. Currently, they have pathetic DPS compared to pure melee classes... perhaps, more +spell damage modifiers on nuking caster gear?
