And just to clarify something, Progeny has long been an advocate for new players, and has helped shaped content to make it easier for newer players. If you don't believe that, I suggest you browse the forums for many proposed changes from myself and my guild. Just ask Jeido, I'm sure he'll agree. (Maybe to his disliking, lol).

Despite the above quarrel, I find the server pretty well balanced. Ive been playing around 2 months or so, and have 3 lvl 70s, a couple 40+, and one 29+ in Alt-P. I hate grinding levels and such in live, and have been having fun going through them here. I've read a bit of posting about the lower end bashing stuff, but I really havent seen it yet, although I dont claim to watch ooc all of the time. The Icewell/Kael issue seems to be a critical after 70 issue, so it should be an issue that takes plenty of time to debate any sort of solution, when both are playable at the time. No reason to create 2 zones that are equally desireable and have them both get left behind at the same time by a player. Better to keep them seperated by, well, the way they have seemed to be kept(I havent played in either yet, but read a bit of forum statements). The recent change with Kael trash(today) sounds like a nice minor tweak, but Im hoping I cannot really go in there with me and bot and do trash, as long as getting armor/items in there are worth at least a smidge more than icewell crafted stuff(which I am about to undertake starting today actually).

I can think of several Level 70 solo+bot content:

1.) PoStorms
2.) Icewell Keep
3.) LDoN normal (Miraguls collection)
4.) BoThunder

If you can get full Kael armor plus some nice attunable gear that you see being "WTS"ed in ooc, you can start farming LDoN normal collection for points. It's the fastest way to get raid quality gear (as good as Tier6) solo+bot... that is if you can stand the grind. I sometimes see players selling loot rights to elemental molds/patterns in ooc for cheap (as low as 5k plat each)... so basically, with 10k plat and a little bit of mat farming, you get some of the best armor ingame with not that much effort.

Back on Topic: I think the server is really fine as it is now... it's not perfect (nothing is), but it's the best emu server I've been on.

I completely disagree with this.

I don't think the server needs to be made easier but it does need to have a few aspects re-evaluated.

1. There's an extremely large gap from the mobs in the 30-55 zones to the 55-70 zone. Even the easiest mobs. I understand that the mobs are supposed to be for groups but up to 55 you can solo any of the mobs in any of the custom zones (for the most part) than you hit the 55-70 zone and it's impossible.

2. Groups are non-existent. I've spent all day LFG before with 0 offers. At most; I might see 1 person LFG? This is a server of bots & boxers. A lot of the content isn't possible for 1+Bot or even 2+bot. I think there needs to be content for those of us not privledged with a "uber" guild and aren't able to even get a guild muchless a group.

3. There's also a extremely large gap in gear. There needs to be something inbetween Chaotic and Kael. Right now you go from Chaotic into SolB/Seb/PoV and try the named and it isn't pretty. I'm not sure how bad it is when you have a full group of people but with a 70 Donator Monk + Cleric + Bot I get steamrolled pretty easy but most of the named. Most of this goes back to the non existent groups too.

I do agree this is a great server with a lot of potential but right now if you aren't in one of the handful of guilds or 6 boxing your own group your going to be missing about 80% of the content here.

^ I don't know how you are playing then... cuz I knew some fresh 70s (when I was one myself) in Chaotic gear was able to solo+bot Icewell mobs. I don't know how well monks with starter gear can tank mobs in there, but with a cleric box (did I read you right?) and tank bot (pally/war/SK), you should be able to do well in Icewell. You can easily craft your Kael gear then... obtaining a full set isnt that hard, with the chest and leg piece rotting all the time (just be on the /ooc lookout). I did it the hardway cuz I hated tradeskills and I collected all my toons kael armor in Kael... those giants hit way hard (at that time), but then again, I box a full group.

If you can box two, why not box 3? A good addition to your setup would be a tank (either war/pally/SK)... then a rog bot which seems to yield the highest DPS for a bot. I think the reason why its hard to find a group is that people tend to only group with guildies or with players they know... and also some just solo for various reasons.

To be honest I haven't even ventured into the 70+ zones due to the fact I can't even do the lower tier zones; how am i going to do the upper tier zones? Unless I'm mistaken.

The reason I don't 3 box is I'm not a big fan of it honestly. I basically do it out of necessity because I can't get a group myself. I have problems doing 2 as it is I don't really see myself doing much more than that.

I admit i had some difficulty with content for a bit. most of it, imo, was just be reaquanting myself with a game i havent played in half a decade. When i got to some of the higher level content, i found that i was having some trouble soloing it. But honestly i just looked around on the forums, and soon i found a great group of people to play with and now im loving it all again.

It doesnt take much effort to find a guild. its not like on live or WoW or something wheres theres a million guilds, but theres enough around that if u look you will find one. Took me all of 15min of effort.

Waor, trust me, it will get better once you are level 70 and you start hitting Icewell... then craft your Kael armor set. Getting at least 100AAs will go a long way... And hopefully your bot is a tank class. Best you can get is a pally bot... put in a nice 1-hander and shield. -OR- There's a named in SolB that drops a 2hb which procs slow (equip your tank bot with it). That weapon can do wonders for fresh 70s. If you catch me at a good time, PM me in game and I'll hook you up with one (assuming I'm not busy).
