AoE Weapons

Hey does anyone know of a weapon that procs an AoE? I know in EQ quite awhile ago there was a weapon called Earthshaker that dropped which had the proc Earthquake on it.

i don't know if any AOE weapons exist on THF, but must warn AGAINST them, as they cause MASSIVE zone crashes (along with aoe strike abilities like Rampage), a bug which EMU devs have been unable to fix for years now.

Even on servers when aoe weapons exist, they are tuned down with a special rule set in server options, which causes aoe to proc as a single target spell.

Now that you mention that I remember crashing on some EMU server quite awhile back doing a big pull with an aoe weapon. Makes sense why they don't have them. I was just curious. Thanks.

But gernerally i think u can pull around ~30 mobs without crashing a zone.

Not sure how many mobs are in PoV but i cleared it with 2 pulls before (- Stuff in AD lair and past) and didn't crashed the zone however someone that was in the same zone said it was kinda laggy at the time:P

However i heared before that if you pull the whole pov zone at once and than AE it crashes it.

important question is, if you used warriors AOE Strike ability? I believe its called Rampage?

Cause Rampage+AOE proc is what causes zone crash.
Cause when AOE proc goes off in AOE strike attack, it procs on EVERY MOB and off every mob.
Which means, if you pull 30 mobs, it will proc 30 times of each mob, resulting in 900 (30*30) total strikes. Server code processing capacity is unable to handle that much data at the same time, and it crashes.

Nope using True Command wich Nukes all mobs and also heals for each mob nuked the group.

But than again only pulling that many when ithe group heal would only affect myself.
In group situations with a full group its more like ~10 mobs. Depending on resist that would be ~10 nukes + 60 heals ( but actualy 70 since mage pet gets affected by the group heals too)

How about AoE rain spells? Anyone know of a relatively easy obtainable weapon with an aoe rain? Just looking for a weapon for my SK friend to help hold agro on mobs while I AoE them down on my mage.. His dreadgaze spell, and pbae nuke he gets just isn't enough to hold agro on everything when I'm chaining my AoEs.

SK ToV leggings have an aoe taunt cast on them. Those help me a lot.

What's the recast on it? The database never shows the recast on clicks on items.
