Why don't 70+ exp/group zones drop any money?

As the topic says, why don't they? I find that they only drop weird stuff for things I have clue what is, and gold, not platinum, and no gems to sell.

Is this intended to make sure people who do AAs only get AAs and not much, if any green between their hands?

Plenty of gems drop in ldon zones, just to name one source of cash.

If you put plat or gems on the mobs, people would be farming it just for the cash. This would make those zones even busier than they already are. There are a lot of places to make decent plat in the game. You just have to go out and explore the world. I've had several people laugh at me for all the TSing I do. But, I've found some really nice farming zones that are always empty. Get off the beaten track a bit and you'll be surprised what you can find. =)

That makes sense, going to other places. But every zone I try to enter that isn't on the fairy teleporters, I either get teleported back to the hub or I get a message that I'm not experienced enough to use interplanar thingys :O
