Ldon gear

Is it worth farming Ldon to get the gear or would it be a better idea to just lvl to 70 and do the 70 group stuff for gear?

The answer to that question is truly up to you.

Do you want to plow through straight to T7+ content or do you want to enjoy all the content this server has to offer at all levels?

It can certainly prepare you for the raid tiers, but in all honesty the points from adventures come too slowly for most people to find it enjoyable. It's still good for AA exp, and the plat isn't bad. But there are quicker ways to gear up.

LDoN was generally designed for people who want to grind away "solo" over long periods of time to match the level of raid gear that was present at the time it was introduced.

Ldons was a lot of fun and the rewards are worth the effort, particularly as you gain access to Sol ro which is a fun zone and has good loot and upgrades to your Ldons gear. My paladin still wears her bracer from there mid t8 and it's got 255ac, I believe.

As with any content here, check out the rewards and if any take your fancy give the content a go. If you enjoy it, keep doing it. If not, it's not essential if you can raid.
