First Login, Stuck at the screen> Logging into the server

Hi guys its my first time trying to login. I keep getting stuck at the login screen with a message saying," Logging in to the server, please wait...". As far as I know I've done all the correct steps for installing and patching the client, everything was going smooth until this message. I've tried pinging the server and just keep getting a bunch of

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

Anyway any help would be appreciated, looking forward to playing tonight. Thanks

What client are you playing on (Titanium, SoD, SoF, Underfoot)?

What are the contents of your eqhost.txt file?

Which login server did you register with (EQEmulator or THF)?
