Stingy Bears in GD

Anyone else had an issues getting the augs to drop from the Kodiaks in GD?

I went through the entire tunnel and killed everything once including the named twice, and not 1 aug dropped.
I always seemed to have a pretty high drop rate there.

There were no changes to the loot chances lately. It's still supposed to be 8% chance. To be sure, I'll kill some kodiaks myself to try my luck. :)

iirc kodiak in GD was one of the zones/mobs yall did that determine loot on kill instead of on spawn. Stinkbox has a Flask of Luck, wondering if maybe that is causing an issue? To clear the whole cave and not see a single aug is really rare since you usually get several augs from a clear or even half clear.

Named is supposed to give augment 100% of the time iirc.

I Don't remember his name unfortunately.
It started with a T, like Trior or something like that, sorry.

Must be Tork the Terror. He's indeed meant to drop something 100% of the time. The way it works, when the mob is getting damaged, at 20% HP one of the possible drops is added to his loot table, same goes for the normal kodiaks. Is it possible you are doing so many damage to these mobs that they never go beyond 20% HP but die instantly from 20+% HP? That and bad luck could easily be the reason for not seeing any augs. If this is the case then I'll just up the script to add loot at 80% or so.

Yes that is him.
I killed him twice with no aug.
I will try it again later tonight and do slower damage to see if that changes anything.
I am using 3 donor pets for dps, I was able to get drops fairly often using the same setup about 6 months ago.

I will update when i get to try it again.

Of the high value augs that drop in open zones, like the Bears, Aviaks and Sharks, I've always found the bears to have by far the highest drop rates. Could just be bad luck, but in the past it seemed unusual to not get an aug at least every 10 kills.

I had the same experience, which is why I suprised to have killed well over 50 plus the named twice and not seen a single drop.

A guildee of mine tonight said he got 2 drops in about 15 kills.

Perhaps my pets are doing too much damage ans Lillu suggested?
