I had written scripts to check my gear for quests, but guess it doesn't work anymore

Not sure anyone's mentioned it to you about your old scripts, but, there was a naming change for items that affected most of my scripts when items were placed into tiers. The script is probably fine, but the identifier could probably use an upgrade.

Oops, yeah, Enrikk raised a point that I overlooked. A year or two back, HIdden Forest implemented a new naming system for items that includes the tier number. So (for example) instead of a weapon being named Awesome Sword, its text name would now be Awesome Sword Tier V. To players like you and me its of little significance but to a computer that always has to have exact data those two names are entirely different. I had to change a bunch of stuff in both my scripts and my Socials. There also might have been some item number changes that could affect any scripting that you did that used item numbers instead of text names.

Just putting my .02 and n00b experience into the hat. Firstly, I think one grp is a fantastic idea! Much of the new content has been tailored to individuals who do not have a raid force; thus, solo and grp content awaits your horizon.

Also, sounds like you have your top grp pick above. My only grip is that my bst is subpar - in my opinion - could be due to lack of knowledge of optimal bst dps. That being said I believe your grp made up of your selected classes above is pretty strong, minus the bst, so I'd say toss in your fav class there OR a true dps class rog/mnk/zerk/rng.

Just have fun with the last one!

Ultimately, using a war disc, plus a clr bot, plus bard on /twist, plus mages on /pet attack ...you see where I'm going... Over time this could become rather boring. So, you could swap one of the mages with a necro to make it more interesting. You get a variety of spells and when compared to mag dps you're splitting hairs.

Thanks for all these replies, I really do appreciate them all.

The rename of items was my issue with the scripts, so I have worked on that, and it helps alot.

I tried going:
War, Clr, Bst, Mag, Mag, Rog

I then dusted off an old rogue, rolled a new rogue and a berserker to get them into sleepers and see how we do. I am just so lacking I guess in DPS. Right now I am running 9 chars, which is more than I want.

I am doing
War, Clr, Rog, Rog, Ber, Mag, Mag, Bst, Mag

Albiet the newer guys are not geared all the way up yet, but with some help from server friends, they have aquired some good pieces to help move them along.

I am currently stopped dead at the wardens in sleepers. I can beat the guard up front, but not the wardens yet.

New Group is trying to be: War, Clr, Rog, Rog, Ber, Mag

And on the bench I have: Mag, Mag, Bst, Brd, Shm (most of these are not quite up to level with gear), goal is to try sleepers with just these 6 and see how I do...

As for donating, I could donate maybe $50 to help the server, I think I would have to get it to $65 though to make it worth it, what is the best donar weapon for a group like the above? Or would money be better spent for unlimited distellers maybe?

Some group comp notes (Post T3 level,bringing gear/AA up on the new toons):

For a main group, I run SHD,CLR,ROG,BRD,NEC,MAG - I am working on the monk to try to replace the rogue moving forward but that is in progress. This group can do a lot more than i thought it would be able to do.

I wanted to attach the sheet that I have been working on in an attempt to see how gear affects score. There is a lot of useless calculation in there but it has been a lot of fun trying to get the info to make sense. There is a very rough correlation between the Composite Gear Average (which takes aug %+tier in with gear) and the #MyRank that is returned.

Final Comp:
G1 - SHD, PAL, CLR, SHM
G2 - BRD, ROG, MNK, BRZ, RNG, CLR2
G3 - BRD2, MAG, NEC, BST, WIZ, DRU

This is a nice view of the information, very concise, I may steal some of this. Not sure on all the calculations, but just seeing everyone with the color codes by tier is a great idea.

Best I can tell, I need to work on getting more augs. I have kinda skipped over this part until recently, when I was given some higher up augs. I have placed some of them on my warrior on his higher level gear, but dont want to put them on lower gear until I know I can get distillers to take them off later.

I am a bit stuck on what to do next. All my original crew is Epic 2.0, in Sleepers. I have messed a bit in PoFire, but couldnt do the bridge griffons to get the better armor, so didnt seem like it was worth the upgrades. Almost all are in Stillmoon armor, with some pieces better.

I guess its my time to farm sleepers for a while, that should yeild some augs that I dont mind getting destroyed later...

Should yield me 2.5 epics for the group as well. Guess I need to get a sleepers key for the new rogue...
