Lillu did say his opinion about it anyway so it's set, but to me here, what I have always liked is the different quests and zones that have been created over the years. Epic 3.0 being the last and I loved them.
So if I had to pick something to push, it would be quests and new zones with content. Of course, it's way more time consuming to create and code I guess.
If something was to change directly on characters, I would choose new AA, like RoF's over level in order not to trivialize and unbalance everything.

P.S : Epic 3.0 !

I agree with the ogre. I don't think we need a level cap raise, but given the population now a days, maybe things more tuned for 1-2 groups instanced so don't end up with fighting over them. I liked the shissar missions but given my gearing there wasn't really a reason to do it much.

No real surprise that a gnome agrees with an ogre. It's a question of survival
The other way round would be way more surprising !!
I liked shissar missions too, although I hadn't finished them before break. No it's not that I agree with anyone, especially a gnome : it's just that shissar missions came to my mind and I wanted to talk about it

Strange that this thread blew up into something completely off topic the way it did, but it's interesting so I'll comment:

I always have and always will refuse to box. It's not something I'm even remotely interested in, and it was the primary reason I quit EQ live all those years ago. When WoW came out and took all of our players(yes, even me), finding groups and raids became increasingly impossible, so people resorted to boxing(even though boxing has always been illegal on live servers). Since I've never been interested in boxing, and boxing was the only way I was ever going to get anywhere, I simply quit.

This server, while I've not progressed much beyond getting a couple level capped toons geared to about Kael Drakkal level gear, always struck me as a place where one could choose to solo everything, and not end up stunted in progress. However, it's looking like I was wrong? I've been searching for a way to solo(perhaps with a bot) and still progress(albeit far more slowly) without having to box/group with people. If anyone has any insight on how I could achieve this, let me know.

I original started as just my mage and his cleric bot. Kael level is right around where I realized I needed more (either an active guild or to box). Over time I evolved into boxing up to 24 and have been in several great guilds along the way.

I also started as a solo brd back in the day. Though I’ll admit I enjoy boxing, it isn’t uncommon for me to drop my boxes to group with live players. I know you stated you rather solo but if jumping into a group to help ease the burden of solo progression slightly I and many others are more than happy to play with ya.
I say however I’m against speeding through tiers so I’d say maybe jumping in for LDON runs or maybe a helping hand in T1.
To address your question, it is not impossible to solo with a bit or maybe 2 box with bot through most content. Yet it will always be easier with a group or more at your disposal. Hence, as stated above, eventually yes you will need to box or have an active guild to achieve higher tiers.
Just the plain cut and dry,
Cheers y’all

My Beastlord(currently best geared toon) can easily solo Kael trash, and can solo LDoN content. Tell me, how would I go about soloing my way through the tiers? What's the best path? Like where do I go for my next upgrade in spells/gear? I'm guessing LDoN for a while? Will enough points in that prepare me for soloing T1?

I'm sure most of you know about this already, but I found it to be rather shocking so I'll mention it: My Beastlord easily quadrupled in power with one AA: Feral Swipe. It's supposed to be an activated ability with a one minute CD, but it happens constantly, usually once per second on average, and it hits for 8.5k every time. So, in other words, I went from doing the normal 250-300 dmg per hit for my gear level, to doing an easy 9-10k dps with 1 AA. My only weakness currently is my low HP(12.1k buffed). With that killer dps, do you think I'd stand a chance soloing T1 currently? My pet hits for 750 buffed, and of course constantly proc 500, and my bot, a ranger, has a badass bow that lets her do about 1.8k per hit on that, often critting 3.5k+, just to give you an idea of the overall dps I'm capable of.

First, kultivater send a tell to Nitrious in-game. I will offer you my limited knowledge & buffage service to you anytime. Additionally I can extend a helping hand where needed too! I will admit I am a full time student & don't have much time to invest at the moment but will be on THF for years to come..

Back to the topic at hand.. /shout INC <A Brain Storm>!!

I think that new content is always a fun topic of discussion but, in what form.....?

Zones:
*Instanced (Different LDoN/Instance Zones)
I like the idea of instances but opening it to 12 toons (2 group-able) due to 90% of the server having at least a 1 group squad. This would bring 2 people together with their respected 1 group squad. Even possibly 18/24 to cater to the enthusiasts. Options.

*Open zone and instance zones for the same content.
Example: HOH is open zone, its nice until people are farming points. This isn't much of a problem now but it will be when &/if new content will come so, having the ability to instance is a nice option. This also helps fellow soloer's like kultivater & individuals who aren't uber geared(like myself). Having the ability to join someone's group in the open zone(non-guild-locked-zones) while still accommodate the boxers. IDK how many times people offer help but cannot help me personally due to the guild locked zones - not major but I am thinking about engaging the entire community.

*Farming plat zone... IDK any other zone other than LDoN for plat.. I do enjoy logging in and having a short-term (15-30min) fix but throw me a bone - please raise the drop rate

*What happened to Ykesha zones/revamp!?
*Where did Anguish go?
*I'd love to see Plane of Time! (if it is already incorporated please forgive my n00berness)

Quests:
*3.0 - moar dps!

*A small, easy low level, but very FUN (shrouded?) quest.. (anyone ever play paintball? Protect the fort style/protect the president ....just tossing ideas... you may have a way better one that incorporates the entire (small) zone... i've always thought the live starter zone looked pretty cool with the fort surrounded by water if i recall correctly)

*I do enjoy slaughtering NPC's Leeroy Jenkins Sytle... maybe a quest where you can have more than a million NPC's attacking you at once.. maybe LDoN/farming plat zone..

*Christmas Quest - group quest to farm items to make an ugly sweater & the best ugly sweater wins (nice aug/ornament for those who cannot fight the strong npc's)

*Definitely quests with a reward from the "reward" list below

Other additional idea(s):
*MOUNTS - Dragons, Warthog, Giant Elk(Thranduil from LoTR), Seahorse, Varactyl (Boga from StarWars), rabbit with horns (Jackalope) for gnomes to ride - ALL@bard speeds & stats to leave equipped in the ammo slot & various glowes/graphics coming from them

*Maybe add a leveling mercenary option for those who wish to solo - so they can have two or more additional bots to their group (if they wish to have more than 2 the additional ones start at lvl 1-70)

*Holiday Specific merchants - 4th of July firework merchant, October Spooky Illusion Merchant. etc etc..

*Maybe bag/box you can put open-backpacks in?

*20+ slot backpacks

*Super-duper-Cool-Illusions (Starcraft/protoss looking or the 7-kings/reapers from LoTR - could be NPC too)

*Have some crafted items that would be worth making and gearing to help those to are willing to farm plat in Ldon and fund the baz market.. (maybe T1-ish to T3 leveling armor and weaps)

*Additional Group/Raid AA's

*Additional AA's would be nice for everyone all around.. maybe open the live content "80+" lvl AA's

*Level for leveling items could be bought with AA's

Rewards:
MOUNTS!
Illusions!
Titles!
AA's!
Gear & Weapons!

Now I know its selfish to be posting without a limit knowing this is asking too much of you guys but I am just providing food for thought and for that I am sorry but the ideas kept flowing.. I'm going to study now..

P.S. I'm loving the graphics the GM's are welding
