Sorry to bump a really old thread, but do any of these custom UIs still work on the UF client?

Looking for something with good functionality but still really clean..on a widescreen resolution if anyone knows.!

I tested the AYA UI and it works with Underfoot client.

My biggest regret is that I couldn't find a THF compatible version of Draakah's Default_Old UI which was the one I always used in EQ live. Gimme my old spell gems back :-)

Eh I tried the latest Aya UI I found in the compilations section and it didn't work at all on this server. I'm not sure which one you're using.

I put the AYA UI folder in my eq ui directory and when I log in the game and load it, nothing changes

Hm, strange, I used this download link pointing towards EQInterface given on page 4 of this thread : http://www.eqinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=6024 ; and it worked for me, though I preferred reverting to the default interface, I am not a fan of these atomic submarine interfaces, it's a fantasy game after all 8-)

- Do you have the Underfoot client ? It is possible it doesn't work with the others, especially the oldest which is Titanium.

- Did you make sure not "doubling" the folder when you unzipped ? When you extract the files to your UI folder in the EQ directory, you need to have a path like C:\Program files\Everquest\uifiles\AYAUF8 (and not having a second folder AYAUF8\AYAUF8, the error often occurs when you copy the zip directly into the uifolder and then use the "extract here" command).

No I'm not doubling folders, I downloaded a different one that the one linked there. I am using Underfoot client~

I'll try yours, thank you.


EDIT** It appears to be working ok, there is no AA window tho which is a problem =p

I appreciate the tips tho

[Works wit SoD client]


FINALLY ! I found an UI which works great for me after hours of digging in EQ Interfaces and logging in/logging out testing UI sets or UI parts (please note I am using SoD client ; I tested it also on Underfoot, there are partial incompatibilities). It is Wiznut's WL Old_Default UI. As you can notice :

- It is based on Default_Old (you do remember Drakkah's UIs and his famous Default_Old, don't you), with the old spell & buff icons (I love !) but smaller to give space overall ;
- It has a couple more features than Default_Old (clicky area e.g.), there are more informations in the player window (% to next AA, % to next level, etc.) and, most important for a pet class like me, it has an inbuilt HoTT ;
- It has a cool animated cabbalistic target ring which helps me switching targets when pet tanks mutliples ;)

The HoTT window and the main chat window are resizeable but not movable from scratch. Don't get fooled like me who tried to move the HoTT window for 30 minutes by clicking, right clicking and reclicking, giving up and thinking "it's bugged" :mrgreen: Just resize it to where you want it. Regarding the main chat window, if you prefer to keep the default one with the "Main Chat" tag and move it around instead of resizing it, just delete the corresponding file in the ui folder, it's explained in the author's note.

And, by the way, /pet hold works with SoD (I tested all clients as I wanted the best possible client/UI combo, the only client where /pet hold does NOT work is Underfoot). So bye bye Titanium !

Vaion, could you upload your UI again. I was using it before but I seem to have forgotten to back it up after reinstalling windows.
