What to do after Kael w my 6box team?

Hi Guys,

Right now I have 6 toons.
War
Clr
Shm
Rog
Ber
Mag

They all have their epic 1.5 and full kael gear. I have read through most of the faqs but I notice that most of the newbie walkthroughs are outdated.

What would be a smarter path for me? Should I do a million ldons, save all my pp and buy boss tokens for my crew? Or am i better off going the classic route and trying to key all my toons for emp ssra? Is shadow haven worth my time?

If I had to start over right now with your build, I would probably transition from kael to shadow haven. I'm pretty sure you can upgrade all of the kael gear here awhile getting other items for your other slots. A long time ago, the transition from kael level to T1/Ssra was a pretty big leap. With SH, you can make it far easier for you. You can even get a head start and do the ring quests in ssra at least to have access to Emp and I'm pretty sure there's a neck/wrist that is interchangable that drops quite frequently too.

If you are very new too, I cannot stress the importance of all the baseline healing/tanking etc AA's in general. You should be able to stockpile a ton in SH too.

Post some magelo profiles if you would, it will help with anyone trying to give advice.

I went from Kael to SH and upgraded my main tanks armor, but that all I did before I jumped into ToV. The SH upgrades are not all that significant and quite frankly I found ToV loads more fun.

I would recommend at least giving the Emperor a few tries before you buy any tokens. You are going to need all the plat you can find for your 2.0's, T5 & T6 armor. And I wouldn't go nuts on the LDONs, you'll just burn out since they are so damn boring. You might shoot for the magic "50" number so you can try the ldon finale - Sol Ro temple someday.

Imho, Kael gear isn't a *huge* upgrade to the chaotic gear you obtained much earlier, but since you've already done it, many kudos to you :)

I'd also not bother with upgrading those kael armor pieces with the quested armor versions in SH, the upgrades are lackluster at *best*. Focus on getting the normal drops from SH/etc, which are a huge upgrade to the stuff you found in sebilis/etc. Also, if you don't have it already, focus your PP on purchasing *all* your t8 spells from bazaar. They are pretty cheap (minus the ones purchased via points, which usually run 10-40k like the mage/nec pets) and make a huge difference in DPS/survivability.

Also, for flags, you may want to do an /auction that you're seeking a number of vulak tokens if you are drastically low on PP. Most people just slaughter vulak every day as a side thing when they run into ToV to farm Lady M for her coth orb. You may be able to find these tokens from a generous player for cheap simply because they don't want to keep them on their bazaar mule forever (most people farm up plat to buy the t5 token and ignore the lower vulak/sleeper tokens just to avoid the hassle of doing more flagging, so the vulak tokens don't typically sell very well.)

Once in ToV, work on your armor quests there. Some of the clickies from those pieces are used to darn near end-game, and are supremely helpful (bp/legs primarily.) It'll be tough going at first, but this is a game and at least to me, the tougher something is the more fun the event :P You could go the easy route and get flagged for stillmoon, where the armor drops off trash mobs and is equal in stats, but those pieces lack the clickies.

All in all, platinum is your main objective at this stage in order to make breaking into t2-3 much easier since you're only going in with 6 toons (I'm assuming no donors?).

Edit: Also save up ALL those radiant crystals. The armor/augs you can purchase with those things are unbelievably amazing. When auged, they're better than anything you'll find t5-ish, maybe higher. Some players sell their crystals (unsure of what they sell for) whereas other more established players merely give them away as they really serve them no purpose anymore :)

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for all the advice so far!
Here are my magelo profiles

webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Thurzia War
webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Caen Clr (was my first toon so he has some ok items from a while back)
webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Xenalia Zerker
webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Kasche Rogue
webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Shinmia Mage
webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Mystalia Shaman

Also I have a donor weapon on my war but that is all. I would like to donate again some time but for now I want to see how far I can get with my crew and also it is a bit expensive haha.

IMHO, use the fairy npc in forest/guild hall to change your warriors donor 1.0 to the 2.0 version. The defensive from 2.0 version is much better than the 1.0 click, the 1.0 click typically only being used by warriors who dual-wield donors and even then it's, meh. It looks like you've already got a handful of the SH drops, keep at it and get em all :) It'll really really help breaking ToV. Donor 2.0 defensive + t8 rk1 defensive will keep your warrior very well defended as you dish out DPS, shouldn't have a whole heck of a lot of problems outliving things up there.

The few items that are below your current "status" can be replaced by said drops in SH. With those, plus all the stones of sturdiness you can get your hands on (I also think there's a slot 7+8 60ac aug that drops off a boss in SH, but is kinda rare), will give you *plenty* of tanking power with a cleric+shaman healing you. If you do go for another donator item, which I'm not suggesting you do, I'd go for one of the more overlooked items like the mana bracer for the cleric. It essentially means you will *never* run out of mana, period, even when facing events that do 100% mana drains which you will face many times in near end-game events. Though such mana constraint events are rare, if non-existant in lower tiers. I bought my cleric that bracer early on because I box only 3 toons, and this was before t8 pets, so my DPS was complete suck, causing fights to last extremely long and my cleric frequently ran OOM.

EDIT: Also, look for an item with a focus that extends beneficial buffs. You can buy such a focus aug for one of your slot 10 items using radiant crystals in vale. The reason? It extends the duration of your DISCS (like defensive) as well, which is extremely important. No warrior goes without this focus, and most new players don't know that this focus works in this fashion, assuming it only works on buffs.

NP :) The *real* fun begins when progressing through the raid zones. They are so well thought out and progress in such a fashion that really builds a sense of accomplishment when you hit those moments of "Omg, I finally defeated Vulak, or Sleeper, or Xegony! What an intense fight, that I would've stood no chance of completing had I not spent so much time building these characters into what they are today." Those are very proud moments :)
