So maybe for 50AA, you get an ability which lets you keep an illusion across zone lines etc? The illusion takes up a buff slot, so it's precious space, but could let folks keep the fantasy aspect and not worry about losing shrink?
It's a great idea, but unfortunately it's not possible to implement the way EQ works client/server side. Whenever you zone, you'll lose your illusion.
I can always take a look at illusion related problems like we did in the past with several items already. Generally speaking, when an illusion is taking up a buff slot, like Elven Rope, the simliest solution is to block that illusion spell effect the way I mentioned above. If there's an item with a 'permanent' illusion (shown when equipped aka. working via script) then we usually offer an identical item without the illusion portion, which you can exchange for at Trizy, The Exchange Master.
The only time when it's a bit more complex is when/if there's a spell effect that you can't block because it has illusion but also other beneficial effects included in the same spell that you wouldn't want to lose. This is a bit more complex to fix because we either need to remove the illusion (which not every player might agree with) or create yet again another identical item, without the illusion portion, but for this we need a new item and then a new spell and so on..
Sorry about the long winded explanation, I just try to give some information on why it's a bit messy when it comes to illusions and preferences and possible solutions.

Also, to sum it up, is there actually an item/spell that we still need to look at? Something you can't simply block?
