pet crits

I have noticed other pets landing tons of crits and it seems my pet crits are low, what can i do to get pet to crit more?

If you don't already have them done, 5/5 ranks of pet crit AAs will be a strong start.

1/1 Pet Affinity AA so that your pet can receive group buffs, many of which boost crit chance. A few off of the top of my head are:

Shaman epics
Berserker cries
Bard donor
Enchanter haste

I have spent all the AA's possible on the pet also have doner weapon Aug for the mage for the pet focus also have doner bp and i still don't seem to crit as much as other mage pets.. I usually just group with my friend who plays a warrior since our guild has become non existence for the last 2 months so with that being said could it be shammy or enchanter buffs? The warrior i dou with has sune's vambraces so i always have those buffs. Would having cleave on my mage help?

Cleave on the mage won't affect the pet, sadly.

Since you have most of the relevant crit buffs (Sune) available (and assuming your eyeballing of crit rates is extremely accurate ) I have only one more idea to put forward:

The other pets don't have a better crit rate, but are critting more because they are swinging way faster than your pet.

How? Bard overhaste. It's just you and a warrior, so your pet is probably chugging along at 85% haste. With a bard your pet would be north of 120% haste.

Its prolly Shamans ontop of Bard overhaste, as when u group with a bard pet gets 42% overhaste, and shaman epic

10 : Effect type : Add Proc:Epic Power
11 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Critical Hit: All Skills by 85%
12 : Effect type : Increase Hitpoints v2 by 500 per tick

Also I think Zerkers and Monks have a Group disc that cause more crits

Keep in mind that 85% crit isn't necessarily 85 out of 100 hits will crit. I don't know the exact figure but im guessing its more like 9% extra crit....

Cleave 12 adds like 380% chance to crit which may be interpreted as 38%.


Shoot me down if i'm wrong.... my rogue crit chance with sune is like 90% so I never had to worry about it.
