I hate ripping ideas off other servers but I think shards of dalaya balanced the shaman class the best out of any server I have been on.
They had the good the bad and the ugly, dots dots and more dots then some aoe dots.
God I loved my shaman.

I agree,i love playing my shammy and want to play him as a main but hes kinda useless in raids and in groups he's just a sometimes healer. Would love to see some kind of spells that give a lil unresistable slow or some nice dots or even nukes. would be nice.

I'm in Tier-3 right now and my shaman is main healer. I'm at the point where I can chain heal for like 10 mins and get by on every encounter up to The Sleeper without a problem... I end up boxing my cleric for epic1.5 clicky if things get hairy. I feel like my shaman adds significant DPS through +damage modifier spells since my lineup is Warr/Rogbot/Rog/Ranger dps.

It would be nice to see extra dps from dots but I would probably rather see a stronger mid-progression (Ancient or Chaotic line) cripple... since stuff is immune to slow why not give us something to lower mobs attack?

After all, Shaman is the king of buffs/debuffs.
Thanks for the memories.

Well the cripple idea is something to consider, I had not even considered it.
Then again I care more about something being tashed then crippled with my setup.

Still the idea of the shaman having improved dots over current is nice for those that play the "Im not here to heal you, Im here to kill ****"

Derailed.

Im dreaming of a new cripple.... last one was level 66. Its a lost line that could help a ton.

Crippling Spasm
1 : Effect type : Decrease DEX by 100
2 : Effect type : Decrease AGI by 100
3 : Effect type : Decrease STR by 100
4 : Effect type : Decrease AC by 130

Donor warriors get a better Mob Attack-debuff - wtf =p

Dominating Anger
1 : Effect type : Stun (1 sec)
2 : Effect type : Decrease Hitpoints by 300
3 : Effect type : Increase hate by 500
4 : Effect type : Decrease STR by 150
5 : Effect type : Decrease HP when cast by 300
Thanks for the memories.

I forgot all about cripple,I remember loving this back in the day slow/cripple were live savers in raids. I would love to see a new cripple line developed and put into play it would greatly increase the use of shammies in raids imo. Shammies could then add dps to the group and make the mob a p***y lol.

Shaman healing is pretty good IMO. ancient whislik's mending, chaotic elixir, and true regeneration are all very strong once you get worn healing focus. Most of the time I am busy spam healing on raids and don't have any complaints about the class role there.

Most of the zones have been balanced and play tested a great deal. adding in unresistable or partial slows may trivialize the progression or requite a great deal of coding. A new cripple would need to be an enormous debuff or have at least -150 resist to make it worth casting on anything serious.

As stated before, i end up with little to do other than melee  or click my nuke stick in a lot of the higher end group content. This is what should be addressed. If all you want is a healer, cleric does it far better than shaman or druid.

I agree with you Obvious. My shaman is a pretty good healer but that it,aside from buffs lol. On raids i pretty much just stand around and wait for someone whos bout to die to run out of rampage/aoe range and hail the hell out of me for a heal lol. I just remember a day when shammies were a must have on raids and would love to see it again. I think a non resistable 10% slow would be good, but in some cases useless or even make the mob to easy. Thats why I believe the cripple would be perfect. Then I can atleast malo and crip till it lands and asctually see the tank live a bit easier. Beefing up shammy dots imho would be worthless. My reason for saying this is because Necro's and Druids are the top DoTers and even they're dots in a raid enviroment arent to great(effective but not to much dps really). Making a shammies dot even worth to cast on a mob would mean you would have to up Necro's and Druids. Now if your talking solo play/group play ya new beefier dots would be nice. Im just comming from a raid point,im bored :P

5 box war/clr/shm/rng/bard for AFK song buffs.

The shaman in our raids tends to just use shammie buffs and spam heal. Occasionally we do have a slowable mob in VP etc, but without an enchanter it is almost worthless to bother to try and slow. With a chanter the shaman slow/cripple do work quite well though.

Their dots? Bah, why would I bother casting a dot when I can just spam heal tanks and keep them alive since they have Panther/Godly, they do more DPS then I can. The dots suck, imo just godly a wizard and don't bother with dots period. They can dish out 10X more damage than most <ours crits for over 100K on certain nukes with godly/bard etc.>

As for what we need. I would say an upgraded cripple to stick easier. Kind of annoying our best cripple <a staple of the class is slow/cripple> is a lvl 66 non-custom spell.
