Harney makes some good points.

Our two main tanks are War's, But due to the time zones and work days. We have to make due with Pally as a MT.

As far as Pally's go. We lack some dps but that is fine because our main job is to Tank / Off tank / Heal / Protect. Most of the time our dps classes have to wait till the raid boss is 80 to 85% hp's before they really start their dps disc's. When the pally class tank. The main thing with Pally's from what I see is the single target agro control. (AoE: Hate with the ToV legs - Great) It's what I use to keep agro 80% of the time on single target bosses. But it kills my melee agro trying to keep agro spam clicking it.

Monk's & Rogs when dps disc's are used normally rip's agro from Pally's.

SK's on the other hand. They are a way better tank then Pally's due to the massive agro control. 95% of the time on a Single target mob will never get ripped off, if the SK is keeping the right dps spells and hate spells up. Even on live they were the best at keeping agro due to the dps dealing with spells / melee / and there crazy hate spells. For the shadow knights, I would ask Coufu to give his input on how he feels his class is going.

10x was an arbitrary number, which was suppose to represent 'big difference'. Cause if its just 2x dps, and wizard is oom for 5 minutes and Rogues can catch up in next 60 seconds and do 2.5 times more damage in the next 3 while wizard still oom - its really not worth it to be that wizard.

I am not actually the one doing the wizard changes, so I wouldn't have any actual numbers for you, I only shared my general feeling that wizard SUPPOSE TO do the BIG BOOM no one else can possible match over a short time frame.

Lol, SKs get "dps spells"? Our DoTs actually lower our dps (since we miss weapon swings casting them and our weapons do far more than our DoTs). I suppose our top spear line does good damage, but thats about the only spell we have as far as dps goes.

I'm all for pallies getting more dps/agro, but SKs aren't too far behind ya.

Do you have the Ancient/Chaotic spells yet Relnon? Not saying they turn SK into a beast but they do help ;)

is it possible to make casting independent of melee swings? what effect would that have on pally/sk healing and dps and aggro?

what i am hearing is pallies dont tank exactly as well as warrior but excel at AE aggro.

Sk dont tank quite as well as warrior but are supposed** to excel at getting snap aggro/holding single target aggro.

my question would be where in the game is there even a need for SK abilities...?

If in the future they were ever to include targets that are "chained" to a location ( there were a few like that in RCOD ) Ranged agro becomes very important when your dealing with a target you have to kill from far away( a type of target like that would also certainly have casters/rangers rejoicing their usefulness again while the melee dpsers throw stones lmao)

I don't, but judging by what I see via the database, its likely that casting that DoT line would likely result in a dps loss (as is the case with my current DoTs), or at best, a meager increase in pure melee dps. Since DoTs take a while for the damage to run its course, its damage should far exceed that of a few weapon swings by the time its run its course.

I know pallies need help to, but I can't really speak for em since I don't play one.

Tank classes (namely Sk's and pallies) wanting more dps is understandable but really uncalled for. Your a tank... u tank not dps. If you wanna start wearing chain then by all means jack up the numbers ;) . I'm pretty sure if a rogue were wanting changes made for better tanking stats they'd get flamed right off the post.... just my 2cp
