Thanks for figures, what is needed is the stacking buffs /bard songs / Bard 2.0/items/Self(issue) figures. (Edit: Just Did that on a separate post in the spell/disc section)

From what i see in Zanfire magelo's I do not see any mana recovery item, just the canni item which isn't exactly the same (2.5 sec casting). Hope i ll get that one day, with Bard+Shamy 2.0 & buff, it is just free mana all the way.

Then, parses with rain could show a average DPS between 4K & 5K I think from what have been produced by another wiz who prefers rain playstyle if NO RESIST, need to parse to know exactly, which is far from I parsed in 1st series. (6K6). Now nerf of chaotic detonation is too huge :( (lost 1K4 Dps) with the mana consumming side effect. Need a dmg UP back or spell mana adjustment :)

Also, mana flare is resistable, as rains are....
You really surprise me Venge when you post such things without any ...Parses..

By the way Tyler,
I parsed 10 Sune's buff and show results (5K2 instead of 6K6). I claim nerf is too much, lets 50% the nerf to give chaotic detonation a 11K regular dmg (or not if you think 5K2 average including 2.0 clicky everytime it is possible is fine for wiz)
Gonna add 10 raid buff situation parses tonight to show you max buff benefits then you will maybe adjusted things once we show some melees class raid buffed parses :)

May I ask you to clean this topic from non parses related question / answer? (which have been answered :))

Hello,

Since Writ of dragonkind has been changed to 6 sec cast, I will never use it again : spellgem refresh < 6 sec.
All parses are now wrong and needs to be done again using only ... 1 spell ...

Quite disappointed on that, I would have prefer:
A Manaflare tuned/remove than the free mana clicky items casting time changed....
A total rains spell review with a high level of resists (reaching 4K Dps with lv < 30 rain spells clearly shows that Manaflare could not stay as it is, same way we did change panther effect for melees when we saw that it was a big part of some melee class dps).

As I never give up/surrender, Let's go for some hours clicking the button...

Reserved for new parses (since freemana clicky items were changed : casting time from 2 sec to 6 sec now which is > spellgem refresh = better use only chaotic detonation).

Whats the refresh? We can change that. I figured 6 secs is fine.

Please explain what spell, cast time, focii etc.

Spell gem refresh is 2.25 seconds I believe. Cast time of an actual spell for int casters is anywhere from 1 second (necros) to 6+ seconds (Wiz/Magician) -- unfocused. Focused with spell haste, which is what most casters have, cut any spell with a 2 second or more cast time down significantly. I'd say a 3 recond recast time on clicky nuke items would be a pretty safe bet.

Hiya,

My bad, I thought about a casting time and not delay, sometimes dumb wizard but result is the same. :)

Actually :
Chaotic detonation casting time is 4.2 sec when I have True devotion, otherwise 4.6 Sune's buffed.

Chaotic detonation 4.2 sec - M0
Writ 2 sec cast + starting a 6 sec recast delay
Chaotic detonation 4.2
=> nothing to click during 1.8 sec

Not worth waiting for writ clicky again, spellgem will refresh and it is better dps to keep chaotic this time. It means:

1 chaotic / 1 writ / 1 Chaotic / 1 Chaotic / 1 writ / 1 Chaotic / 1 chaotic / 1 writ etc...

To allow using my previous mechanic (I do not say that's the best hehe), I need a recast time < 4.2 sec - so 4 sec recast is perfect. (It also prevent from having a huge dps from this clicky item using manaflare III)

This is done so you can't just Flare yourself and keep clicking a Mana less item forerver. It should be no penalty in using it the way it was designed -> click between spell refreshes.


6 sec cast time was too much to get this done, so i will change it to 4 secs recast to meet spell refresh of high level nukes.
