Full Sune buffs, used all the aa's, used ToV chest effect 2x and cycled the three highest aoe rain spells available to us. I can try again with using just Thunder of Ice but I feel the aoe's become my best option with Mana Flare III now hitting for 4k(8k Crits).

Could you do a parse with Thunder of Ice instead of rains? I'm just curious of the dmg is all..since AE rains are always going to be resisted on raid bosses.

I actually went back to ldon for Mana flare III :(

So, same conditions, Sune + self buffs, Servant of Ro, Host of elements, 2 ToV clicks, Frenzied Burnout. Straight Thunder of Ice parse, so with mana flare III and Orb of deep sea for a 60% chromatic boost. Mana flare wore off before I emptied my second mana bar (I had like 5 more nukes after, 20% mana remaining)

Vlan on 09/06/2010 in 385sec

Total
--- DMG: 1499024 (100%) @ 3894 dps (3894 sdps)

Eskarina
--- DMG: 894350 (59,66%) @ 2335 dps (2323 sdps)

Vabarn
--- DMG: 569056 (37,96%) @ 1478 dps (1478 sdps)

Eskarina`s pet
--- DMG: 35618 (2,38%) @ 396 dps (93 sdps)

(I intended to post several parses in my first post, hence why I zapped empty lines)

Now... I'm gonna hate myself for saying it but here goes :

Vlan on 09/06/2010 in 232sec

Total
--- DMG: 1400373 (100%) @ 6036 dps (6036 sdps)

Eskarina

Vabarn
--- DMG: 349192 (24,94%) @ 1505 dps (1505 sdps)

Eskarina`s pet
--- DMG: 48434 (3,46%) @ 538 dps (209 sdps)

Total spent mana : 0 (I had mana flare up before starting). Let's say 1150 mana spent.
Don't nerf the Tome of swirling feathers too hard, okay ? :(

One last with almost same setup, just only one ToV robe click, stopped when mana flare wore off. I ended with 20-ish mana left, didn't have to use gather (so I can keep that DPS all night long). I alternated Star scream, Rain of Jerikor and Maelstorm of thunder. First and third are unfocused, I don't have a magic focus.

Vabarn
--- DMG: 421298 (28,28%) @ 1221 dps (1221 sdps)

Eskarina`s pet
--- DMG: 46621 (3,13%) @ 512 dps (135 sdps)

Kinda sad, I dish more with not-even-70 spells (star scream drops in Icewell, ok...).
Could try Fire rain + thunder of ice since I have both those focused, but I don't think it would score more.
Think it's possible to have Mana flare only get one shot of the 3 waves of a rain ?

Yea guys but sorry, that rain spell is giong to be replaced with a DD spell.

The other Click DD spells will all receive a minor recast delay so that you just don't Flare yourself and keep clicking a mana free double nuke forever.

So you're going to replace all our rain spells or just the top ones? We get these rain spells from the beginning, it's a defining part of being a Mage :P We have several good DD spells, don't want another one really. Part of the fun is being able to dps down several targets at once and hopefully live through it all if the tank has done his job gaining enough agro. My dps was nearly the exact same depending on whether I chose to use my aoe's or my Thunder of Ice. The aoe's have a HUGE risk factor lol. Sure it's amazing dps against a dummy but when you're actually out there fighting you have a very high chance of being killed. I'd also like to point out that Mana Flare gets knocked off after you take a couple hits so you can't stand there in a crowd of mobs that are beating on you and rain away with the added proc of Mana Flare.

I tried for an hour last night to replicate Eskarina's 6k output and it's just not happening. Perhaps there is something I'm missing but the book I was using has a larger base damage and shorter recast than his... something is wrong. It's 1500 base damage with 80% modifier. Mana Flare is hitting for 4000 for me right now because I spent 600 ldon points on an aug. I think the recast of the books are way to fast. This is what I could do clicking it back to back as often as possible along with aa's and 2x ToV robe effect.

Zabantik
--- DMG: 523422 (33.47%) @ 1500 dps (1500 sdps)

I shouldn't be able to out do my best scores for zero mana lol.

Ah I didn't realize that Tears of the Sun was a rain spell... Now I see how it could get out of hand lol

Bleh, what "out of hand", a mere 4.5K DPS mana-free :o (13.5K if I target Vlan in the middle, the rains hit all 3 dummies  )

I am, though, kinda concerned that I dish out significantly more with 3 "lowly" spells lvl 70, 67 and 64, 2 of them being unfocused, than with my best, heavily focused, ldon spell. Not only tossing more damage, but also costing a lot less, allowing for sustained damage with only breaks to refresh mana flare and elemental fury, and clicking AAs and toys.
Subliminal message : Thunder of Ice as a rain ?

Raw awesomeness 8-)
