I had the same thought, also you want to do parses in arena so that buffs and disc's were off as it would in live play. ;)

i do way more dps on a real T8 boss than the T8 dummy. Id say that the T1 dummy is the closest thing to a real T8 boss imo. Probably due to the bane dmg on weapons id guess. But yea, that T8 dummy is a BEAST. so many resists, such low hits.

An extra planar would solve that then, because taking into account extra planar dmg is something that every class and every player can't really do. T8 dummy has way more ac and resist than t1 and non bane dmg users parse themselves.

Am I missing something??

disc is 743.1 over naked
song is 411.1 over naked
combined is 875.3 over naked

though if you add disc and song separately its 1154.2

so we are loosing 278.9 somewhere because the song and disc are completely different things yet when used together you don't get what you would if done separate?

Never been a big parser but after seeing Noren's post it just didn't add up to me.

I'm guessing my 1 min. sample size is to blame. A nice streak of crits probably put one ahead of the other. 1 min. was convenient for the sake of the disc only lasting 60 seconds, but I'll run these tests a couple times and edit the post with averaged out dps from the trials.

*EDIT* Updated the parses ^ above ^

yeah, from one parse to the other, there can be a big difference, that's why it's better to run 2 or 3 parse with same buffs to get a real idea. As you said Noren, it was probably a nice chain of crits on one case.

Let's get some new parses, specifically with Donor BP high end builds. Are Rogues dominating high end DPS atm? I see more of them than all the other melee dps combined, what gives?

Post em!
