Knight DPS Consideration?

Curious if the dev team might consider upping Knight dps tables a tad :) I believe they currently exist on priest dps scales? The reason I ask is that Warriors do *ridiculous* amounts of damage compared to SK (and I assume pally?) Heck, my CLERIC almost out damages my donor weapon/donor aug SK when the cleric is only swinging melee with RZ staff :P

I do understand that Knights are all about group utility, like SK's Death March buff and 2.0 click and Pally group heals/cures etc, but imo I think they more than pay off for that utility by having defensives on pretty darn long cooldowns. Fenkenn can easily break 60k DPS in a mild burn (which he can keep up almost all the time) and Rude can barely break 8k in the same burn. Fenkenn has donor sword+entombed sword, Rude has donor sword and donor weapon aug.

As far as aggro goes, Fenk doesn't even need to hit donor BP/hurricane/vist clicky to hold AE aggro, he just needs to auto attack (rune procs and group heal procs generate tons of AE aggro.) Rude has to spam AE aggro spells, tov legs and everything else to keep other melees from stealing AE aggro with nothing but their heal/rune procs generating hate from auto attack :P This is due to how *true* lifetaps only generate single target aggro (and pretty small aggro at that) compared to heal procs (like from Kiss of Life, which is a DD and then a heal), rune procs, and hitting slower than a decaying skeleton with turgers and a weighted axe.

In summation, warriors tank better, can keep defensives up 100% of the time, they hold way better ae and single target aggro, and they do mountains more damage than a knight! SK can.... death march and FD :P

If this is something yall might consider bumping/looking into, lemme know and I can provide a ton of parses for scrutiny :) Thanks!

Sorry but no plans to up knight DPS. They function perfectly as intended in fact they are the most popular tank class. :)

Started a Palain a couple of months ago after using a warrior for a year as my main tank. For a non-donor tank, he's a beast. 17k AC, 56k HP, and a few VT rares. I regret not making a second warrior, and his horrible DPS is a major reason(poor agro and lack of disciplines being the other to reasons).

That said, if their DPS doesn't get a bump, it doesn't bother me a bit. They are tank classes. I knew I wasn't making a damage dealer. The fact that my warrior has the second highest DPS in my crew is just a nice bonus.

Same. Not terribly bothered by them not having any dps, they are in fact tanks after all. If Rude's dps tripled, I still prolly wouldn't notice. Just found it odd that a cleric can approach pretty close to the same melee dps with RZ staff than Rude with donor weapon + donor aug. :P

Though now that I think about it, if sks did much more damage their 2.0 clicky would make them pretty unkillable while it was up :P

See, there's style in playing an SK, and it's not about DPS, it's about being the "good guy gone bad" ... all the ladies,,, and men for that matter,, love that sort of thing!

I'm happy enough with SK dps, or the absence thereof. If you just look at yourself as a chew toy with no teeth, it helps one keep perspective :D

On the other hand.... Wouldn't it be great to have an AE life tap like Thuldar in VT courtyard?...tap every enemy nearby and really annoy them by using it to heal your entire raid .... muahahahahah...

I like you! (and I don't just mean that because I've been drinking.) That would actually be pretty darn awesome, and provide a little strategy to certain events :P Already kinda exists in the 2.0 clicky, but an actual AE lifetap... hmm...

Yeah, just make it ultra resisted like the paladin AE stun/heal.

While I'm talking about it, I haven't seen a difference in stun resists with the paladin VT class item's worn2. Is it working?
