I am a native English speaker who lives among a very large amount of people who know English as their third language - sometimes fourth. I've known 3 people specifically who have studied English through computer games and they have also contributed to a large amount of my vocabulary. People need to understand that symbol based languages (like chinise) are insanely different from a char sound -based languages. There are no common logical priciples that apply to sentence structure. In Most cases in chinise you can flip "words" around anyway you like, and meaning of the sentence won't change. There is no sound - to letter corespondse between their spoken and writen language - there is no such concept that a letter can have a sound assosiated with it. Its like a whole different universe.

Learning non symbol langauge for a chinise person is INSANLY dificult, cause the order of words in sentence is not something they can easily comprehend.
