Hi all. THF newb here but so far LOVING IT!!! Thanks a million. I'm an old EQ (1999-2004) player, been a lot of years since I played and having the ability to port around and check out all my old stomping grounds is awesome! I'm almost to 50 and was hoping to get some advice on where I can hunt for some better gear/weapons for my warrior. This is the highest I've been in EQ so don't know the upper tier zones or places at all.

Gearwise your best bet will be to farm the gear you can get out of Karnors/Guk/CoM - The rusty Chaotic gear and complete that armor set. Grinding there will also push you into a comfortable level to finally Jump into Seb/Solb/PoValor which is the next tier of custom zones. The gear in the 55+ zones is pretty much what will carry you into the next armor upgrade, which will be from Drops in Kael or Tradeskilling items in Icewell Keep. Unfortunatley there is definately a difficulty gap between the 30-55 and 55+ zones, but as a warrior you should be pretty set as far as just kinda bullying your way through things.

I found that the best thing you can do is just max out the gear for the previous tier before you move on to the next. And while KC/Guk/CoM will be a bit slow @ 50, it should set you up well to jump into 55+. Just remember 50-60 is still pretty much hell level territory 55-60 SUCKS even with the XP bonus and all on this server. But stick with it and you will be home free 60-70.

In conjunction with Bront's info- Youll find the chaotic armor quest fellow by the cave in the hidden forest. Also, dont forget to checkout the Alla Clone and Wiki. They can be found through the portal links on any page here on THF. The wiki can get you thinkin about epkc 1.5 mobs and other quest you will have coming up. The Alla clone can help alot with item identification, plain ole seeing what equipment drops in what zone. Its just like th Allakhazam of old basically. I agree that you shoul keep farming chaotic for you and your bot(s) at 50. Either city of mist or karnors. Good luck, and dont be shy askin qquestions here.

An alternate to farming if you get bored is to try old school grounds you played before at50 like Velketors. The mobs there dont hit too hard and are fairly easy. they also drop loot that you can sell. If you don't know you can also have 1 bot spawned at any time. As a War i recommedn a rogue bot as they position themselves behind the targets and backstab. Check the #bot help to create as many bots as you want.

Also fell free to ask for 70 lvl buffs. Many players are always willing to throw newbies buffs that will help with the lvls. Lastly when you see a 70 in one of your lower zones there is a very good chance they are simply farming items or getting aa points and will let you join them for exp. Remember to ask nicely. Thanks for all the help much appreciated. . I have to start those chaotic quests looks like, I have been spending my time revisiting all the old spots I use to "camp" at. It's been fun blowing threw them this time around (except now my gear sucks). I did try City of Mist around 48 but there was some bada-- golem? i think right behind the gates and I couldn't push my way in. So looks like I will try L Guk tonight and do some of those quests.

Yeah, Mighty Golem is named mob, but im pretty sure he will be apprehensive to you so non-agro. He can drop a really nice 2hs weapon you will want.

from when I was soloing on my war before trying to 3box that might help is
1) when you first get to the 55+ think about having a pally bot (they will take agro. and heal also bot get all AA's for their level so it will not get hit as hard as you do until you can get the armor and AA's)
2) get the headhunter quest now so you can get credit and not have to come back later(the namers drop the armor and aug you will want)
3) I stayed in POV until I was 70 and with 50+ aa's before going to icewell. made it a lot easier for me at lest

He has it visibly equipped as well when he has it to drop.

Hey, Criq. I see you're level 70 now. The best place for starter's 70 gear is in Kael (If you're not interested/able to raid). The Kael gear is the same from Live's GoD quest gear. I'll be giant slaying for most of the week so feel free to send me a tell and the rotting Warrior gear will be handed to you
Also, if you're hanging with me we can knock around the AoW for a few upgrades for you as well
