Moment of nostalgia - PC Upgrade Pains

I am sharing this in a moment of nostalgia, remembering all the EQ friends over the years - alive and dead. Tommorow I am upgrading my PC will be tottaly wiping the hardrive. For some time I will be without THF. This brought to mind some emotional times on live:

One time on Live, I was friends with this odd Pacifist Warrior Chick. I tried to help her level. She had me climb to the top of the Spire in Dreadlands (it is the zone outside Karnor Castle) and we watched the Sunset. I was like wow this is cool, when can we go level. She is like I don't have to be Ubber to enjoy EQ. I was wow this is a side of EQ I have never see. Thanks!

She was a real nice person, she was also diagnosed with cancer. Her name is Azera. I will never forget her. I hope she is ok.

I also want to remember Nemesiswolff, the best Druid I ever had a pleasure of running along with. When one was with Neme! One never had to be afraid of things that bumped in the night. Nemesiswolff died of diabetic shock in 2007. Was a great loss to The Elitists (my guild on AR server) never replaced!

It is comfort that we are still playing and we remember! I love you THF you will always be a part of me! I hope to be back soon! :D

If my PC could speak it would be saying "Dell. Dell. What are you doing Dell? I am afraid Dell." That is exactly how I feel. I am touched deeply and I remember it all and them all since 1999. That is why I came back to EQ. :D

all the friends we've known from eq became part of our lives, no matter where they are, alive or dead.

I love the sky and sun in that video, I have missed it very much while I had to turn down EQ settings. I hope to see it again soon!

Thanks Gytask!

Yep, that about sums it up. They were an awesome, awesome guild.

*edit - the songs do have a few explicit lyrics :P*

A person is not truly gone until all the lives they've touched, all the legacies they've left, all the memories they've given are gone. Carry and cherish your thoughts of friends gone, and they will retain a degree of immortality through you.

Software is but code - it can be replaced. Perhaps quite quickly if you make a backup of your EQ installation. Your memories are precious - think of them often, so they cannot leave you.

Come back to us soon.
