Good memories of The Hidden Forest

I don't know that I can top the experience I had the very first time I logged on to the THF server. After playing on another emu server and being very disappointed, it was truly like night & day when I stumbled upon THF.

The beginners quest from the queen was a perfect start to get familiar with the Forest, get a nice charm and 100pp to start you off. (I am still amazed at the people that get on this server & do NOT complete this quest. <palm to forehead>)

The people on this server have always been very friendly and helpful. I knew right away that I had found my EQ home.

Hi, I haven't played in a while...

But I want to again!

ONE of my favorite memories was the first time I killed some dragons in NTOV. That's right around the time I played live, so going back in time to see the end game of that era was cool! It's probably a lot like hanging out in the Oval Office or going somewhere you know that only the "elite" go

Have played off and on over the years and the best memories I have are the guild slow dungeon crawl of ToV and Ssra Temple and then when i was finally able to solo Sleeper. Miss the guild raids where players only used a main and maybe an alt if needed. Good Times. Lillu and company have been the best

Found this on a random search.... My best memory was my first Vulak kill. First, you have to consider that token were expensive then, so my guildie and I had gotten several of our toons into ToV the hard way; farming the mats for the Emp Key, attacking the Emp in SSRA, and failing many times, only to finally win. Then, farming Stillmoon a bit to be able to move into ToV, and then, farming WToV and EToV to build up the force.

Moving slowly into NToV, and successfully winning each fight. Finally, to end up in front of Vulak after a long night, and we both just decide to go for it. No real strategy, just the will to try. Some deaths, but we managed to move agro back and forth between us to use whatever healing items we held, and suddenly, success!

First Zethurim kill - Guild had been trying to kill for several weeks. We had been close of couple of times, into the single digits before a wipe but still couldn't kill him. Very few donor items on our toons at that time (definitely no donor pets) so we had to add some chars to our groups - enchanter, couple wizards, etc which meant HoH quest multiple times. Finally on a Friday night we assembled everyone in the guild at that time - 11 people / 60 some characters to take him down using 2 enchanters in one corner and an SK in the other to take care of the adds then just trying to burn as fast as we could. He died just as the adds were coming into the room. I think everyone drank a bit in RL that night.

Other items -
- Having a GM taunt us as the mob we were killing and DT a few random ppl.
- First Reaper of Mortality kill - meant getting into a new zone - also had possibly of Augs / new spells
- First Zenurix kill - similar to Zethurim but with some other issues that occurred in HoH at the time
- Halloween event - last fight for the charm (multiple guilds coming together for that fight) - think only a few guilds were in HoH at that point. Also finishing Tangy Caramel Apple...on all toons
- Duoing Vulak with one of the first people I met on the server
- Vent conversations with the guild
- Testing new content / changes - always fun to help out and test some items. Also gives you a chance to talk to the devs.

This thread looks like it needs some love.

Its hard to pick out memories to mention about this server. I would have to say my first holiday event being Halloween. I loved running around with the illusions and the use of some of the old zones. After that it would need to be that stupid bat in dsk. All I knew was I cast the right spells (so I thought) and still couldn't do any damage. This went on for about 30 mins trying to figure out why nothing was happening.... And of course instead of using my enchanter i some how was trying to mez with my cleric. It was a long night.

Then there was the release of the 3.0's. Fulken, Sain, and I raced to try and finish first.... I still think they cheated Those quests where fun and challenging. The constant communication and mutual assistance between all of us made it so we could finish in record time. If you haven't started on the 3 that are released yet you should!

All I can say is I cant wait to see what the team comes up with next.
