Guildmate did it with a bit of everything but boxing a lot of toons for’xeru. I did’with less but my stuff was higher and i had a donor weapon here and there. Keep in mind that what i am talking about was hmm 2 years (for me) before difficulty cha ge so i believe its far better now.
Concerning nadox well it really depends which event you are talking about. Vistrinda isnt hard if you time things well, if you are reactive and go good dps to deal with adds as they come. Again in this game it all comes down to people who want to do it solo or with others. Vistrinda solo is much harder than with mates (one deal with her, others with adds). Concerning other mobs there, the difficulty is very different. Oligarth and fevarn are easy, zethurim requires big dps and kerani can be a pain. Gatekeeper is gatekeeper he is different from the rest of the boss and you can forget to do it solo, unless, super skilled, trained, stuffed and patient.
As for setup it changed over the years and so have donor items on them, since i started playing alone a lot so i started using more donors to compensate loss of help and the reduction of my computer boxing ability.

Did you guys run stacked raids? I have 1 rog, 1 mag, 1 nec (both have t8 pets), 1 wiz, 1 rng, 1 bst (t8 pet), 2 brds, 1 enc and 1 ber - all of these guys have t8 gear and HoH evolved (almost all pieces fully evolved) and I still cant beat Oligarths 2nd copy before he dispells me unless I burn all my clickys/discs and then I am doomed on the third one >< . Fevarn and Draekon in HoH I have killed multiple times, mainly I suppose because they can take as long as I like since DPS is not a requirement. Looking forward to figuring out how to do Gatekeeper :-)

what do you mean by stacked raids ? Your setup is nice but there are rooms for improvements concerning certain class, dps wise but also debuff wise. And again, doing it solo is far different and harder than doing with friends.

With stacked I mean, for example bringing 6 mages.. Or 10 rogues. Rather than having a diverse setup with most (or all) classes! I am lacking raid auras on a few toons so all groups dont have every aura, but what would you suggest that I change? I do have 2 clerics, shm, dru, SK and war as well. Think paladin is the only class I am not using. And yeah ofcourse its different playing it solo, but I havent found anyone else who isnt a donor toon at this level (except Snorks guys and he is never on grr!)

I run typically one group myself working on another. 1st group is warrior, cleric, shaman, bard, mage (donor bp), necro (donor bp). 2nd group i am working on is sk, cleric, druid, enchanter, wizard, necro. I def should proably drop the 2nd necro for something else but not sure what to replace it with. Maybe a rogue but i am superlazy and casters are easier to set up and control as melees i tend to get killed.

I just made it into nadox myself. 1st boss 3rd i disc after after the dispell. Then burn small short 4 to 5 min cool downs to survive. Last pop i have a partial disc most the time and again disc when he dispells and reuse clicks and discs.

2nd biss is tricky with 2 healers. Have to riposte disc twice to allow my cleric to us his improved mana item 10sec cast it is off a world boss.

That is as far as i mafe it so far.

Make sure you're using the debuffs from the shaman/chanter/druid and mage. Also group composition will add up making sure you have bards with your DPS and in case of the enchanter group them with your casters so they can cast their burst buff easily.

In terms of DPS, the ranger will be lagging behind a lot compared to the zerker or rogue.

Dhafu, necro is great if the fight lasts long enough for dots to fully run through and if they are geared/focused well. Plus their pet will only get better from just having the donor pets around.

As an example here's my group setup/ debuffs I cast on dps intensive fights.

Groups -
g1 - SK, Cleric, Mage, Nec, Bst, Brd (Donor pets + a bard)
g2 - Cleric, Rogue, Zerker, Monk, Ranger, Warrior (melee all with overhaste clickies + my offtank/offhealer)
G3 - Shaman, Druid, Wiz, Wiz, Ench, Bard (caster dps, debuffs)
G4 - Cleric, Wiz, Wiz, Wiz, Wiz, Bard (Newbie go BOOOM group)

Debuffs -
Mage - Torrent of Malsoin (resist debuff and chance at spell vulnerable)
Ench - Epic 2.0 clicky (-100 MR), Wrath of the Phantasmist (tash style, debuffs resists), Overbearing Power (Spell vuln) , Euphoric Spasm (Melee vulnerability)
Shaman - Slow
Druid - 2.0 and donor click

I am using all the proper debuffs that I know of (malo, enc cripples, epic 2.0s) and I have a good group setup with brd in each dps group. But I honestly cant burn through the fights fast enough. I know that I am not playing as optimal as 16 toons would if each was played individually. But I am in T8 gear and I was having trouble with the DSK2 fights in terms of DPS output

I love trolling the posts because it helps me when I finally do stuff.

I've been 'here" for a few years by now, but mostly a casual dude when I play. My kids play with me at times, and sometimes a friend or two will pop in and I progress, then I don't for awhile.

BUT, because I've never been all about just driving forward to the end-game, I don't understand the burnout people mention. RL always causes priority shifts, but I always find there is something new I can do, or something that changes to make my attempts go easier.

Now, I have donated a bit, I think, but it's not just to beat the scripts. It helps, sure, but it's to support something I love, and also, see the cool stuff that the devs have created. Also, usually when I'm totally ready to teach my computer to fly, , I can just ask someone in the game for advice, and if I listen closely and follow it, I make some progress.

I know by now this is a settled issue, but it's always important to remember that the original EQ was not easy, (remember naked CR's, or looking at the book until 35?), but that's always been part of the charm, for me. And when I was blocked, or am blocked here, eventually, something changes to allow progress. It's a game, and at least here the devs are quicker about changing stuff than on live.

/cheers to all!
