For now, we'll drop the idea to character tier restrict tokens below Vex Thal. Also, I think it's a good point to separate the new planned system from the actual flag tokens so the new 'currency system' will be introduced alongside the token system and will not overlap (other than having to kill the same NPCs to obtain them).

They will remain the same, you can either turn them in at Tunare to flag for a given zone or click them for random loot from that tier. Exception to this will be Token of Vex thal, it will not flag you anymore but still allow you to click for random loot.

I don't know if it answers the questions of not skipping content. If the goal is to force content experience, those that have the ability to handle VT can still skip people through content pretty easily. It's a fine line. You can over "help" people easily by skipping them through gear, content. The requirement remains (as far as I know) to be in the same guild in order to access Tiers above 2 (referring to alternate ToV) in order to progress.

Content that discourages boxing, and encourages actual people interacting would be my dream. Would be cool to see some emphasis on LDON, group content, make it hard, like really hard, and requiring people to do different tasks, actually playing their class.

Scenario 1: I'm T9, someone just joined the guild is T2. I can go with them and help them get to T3+ , by running the instances with them or more like for them, hoping we can group and experience high end together. I'm still "pushing" them through content faster than normal.

Scenario 2: I'm T9, and doing T8 stuff, someone joined who is T2. I give them a token, and they're immediately able to do content with me. We still skipped content, we just did it in a different way.

I just had another thought. What if you guys introduced different Tier daily quests? 1 per tier, that rewarded different levels of the points based on difficulty? Then you can use those points to buy tokens and augs/items etc. Maybe a CoH item on vendor as well?

This would also force people to redo content on their toons since they would be farming points in each tier. Just make sure the daily quests aren't on mobs that are based off a 8-24hr cooldown, to give max exposure.

Yeah, it's a good idea. Kinda similar to the 'daily kill tasks' for flag mobs since they are on a 23 hours lockout too. :)

It would be the easiest route to implement because you would only need to add 2 NPCs. a task giver and a merchant. Of course the tokens would be harder to get than let's say, a T1-5 item etc... but have the daily quests give out ebon crystals and merchant take that as payment. They're already in the game after all.
