I don't mind increasing overall droprate or create an item with worn2 that increases it BUT there are few conditions to take into consideration before creating that item if you don't want to create "problems" :
- item must be all/all
- item must be worn in a "useless" slot, because if not, it means that when you kill a boss, people have to that item on all toons (and no, equiping an item on 12+ toons is not fun).
- item must be purchased or at least droppable (No super long quest, no nodrop item that is created TS). You can fix a high price for it if you want (money sink is ok).

Why ? Because if only few toons can have the item when boxing (because too hard to get or something), then we have to be extremely careful of who gets the killshot, which is really not going to be fun.

Thus, making a SPELL that has to be casted on other toons is not an option at all to me. Why ? Take VT for instance, toons get dispelled all the time, and we will end up by having a toon that had it being silenced/dispelled getting killshot, so will end up the way it was before.

That's only my point of view of course.

Oh and I +1 the ideas of increasing group/raid xp. I personally don't have time to xp anymore and it would be nice to be able to get something from raiding.

How about a debuff that you cast on a npc right before it dies (or whenever)?

Could be an option indeed. Just don't make a spell that lasts 10s only (silence brrrrrr) :mrgreen: :lol:

Questions :
- Spell would raise the overall chance rate ? I mean, it would affect all % of a mob, even if he has multiple kind of "rare" like in VT (mobs have 100% - 50% - 25% - 10% - 5% in their own loot-table) ?
- For what class(es) ?
- Several rank (rk1-2-3) or just a simple version ?
- Dropped spell, quest (nooooo) or buyable (good money sink) ?

I would vote for increasing the drop rate. One idea would be to increase the % as higher tier content becomes available. For example DSK3 % VT could be at 10%, HoH & Nadox 20% and DSK1 at 30%. Probably max out at 30%. Anything lower that 10% is a little silly if you ask me.

If increasing the drop rate is not an option, I like the spell idea better than the worn2 effect.
Spell = anyone can get the kill shot
Worn2 = Everyone will need one or let the toon with the worn2 get the kill shot. May also cause aug distiller issues by needed to switch augs out.

Finally if it does have to be a Worn2 effect, my vote would be to keep the improved charm line going.

Like Galdace said, but even if I would love to see new quests for the adrianne charm, I wouldn't want the "luck" thing being added to it unless the charm gets REALLY awesome stats to stand comparaison with t9 charms. I don't want to be forced to wear "low level" items in important slots just to get some hope of a rare loot. Also creates the killshot problem.
To me, spell is the most interesting and the less annoying for most I would say.
Increasing overall droprate through tiers is also a good option, but then the 25-50% items would have to be upped too, not only the 5% (which is way too low I agree).

I still think Ydiss hit a home run with the post on a revamped Plane of Hate being a T7 substitute / supplement.

What about an item you need to wear when the mob is dying, so no problem of effect timer or buff check.

And with a progression quest (like charm one) to increase the effect (like the % of drop or maybe the quality of dropping or both :mrgreen:)

And just to be hated by everyone on the server : an item with a zone kill count on it, so the more you kill in the zone, the more you get in effect in this zone ?

And if an item like this ever exist on the server, I'm dead meat ! :shock:

Or a new effect who can add on an existing aura ? (not sure if it works with silence :roll: ) and the more auras (in number of players) who have, the more it increase the effect, raid wide !

if it's an item that you need to wear conradd, it means that the person who gets the kill shot has to wear it. It means that when the mob is dying, for someone who is boxing, he has to that item on ALL his toons before mob dies (and thus, probably loosing stats too, and maybe you end up missing killshot because of that). So baaaad idea to me.
