That was the Heroic Few on Morell Thule. The original GL (female, and that was rare back in the days) quit and Daggen took over as sole GM and arranged the merge. I played a dwarf cleric, Xavann and was in Herioc few, and Fury's Edge after that.
However I started out in The Black Claws, a small but very helpful and super friendly guild.

MT had a very active forum community with loads of juicy flame-war posters. So much drama always hehe. Also it seemed that some people that would be more active on the boards then in game itself. I recall Yenadil and Twina being a bit like that.
Especially in the pre-Velius aera, people with questionable ninja/ks loot decisions didn't last long, there was a real sense of community. Speaking of, remember Wikkiwikwik Wikkiwikwik?

Anyway, I left MT when eq2 came out and moved there with a few guildies.
I am happy I found THF recently. The community here is so nice! It reminds me how it used to be on MT in the 'old days'.

ps Fury's Edge has a guild again on Project 1999 and a FB group.

I started in 2001 and played up until 2007 I think it was, entirely on Fennin Ro server. My friend comes to work, "hey man, this game everquest is freakin awesome! you gotta play it with us!". and honestly at the time I had no interest in this type of game so it took a little of him talking me into it. Well sure enough 2 months after I started, he quits lol. But I ended up making friends and playing for a good 6 years or so. I started off with a barb shaman named Anaximenes, left him off in his 50's and started a woody ranger named Miridian. Got him up to raiding in GoD, never finished uqua with him and rolled a high elf enchanter named Elbereth. With Elbereth I finished all of GoD, all of OoW, and all but vish in DoN. Rolled a monk lol, human monk named Penpahg (lol yeah i know), with the monk I raided all the way up to and completing Frostcrypt and Ashengate. I eventually made a 2nd account and boxed a froglok shaman named Anaximenes (deleting my original toon, yes it was hard to do *sadface*). But I quit shortly after TBS, got my self into solteris but never did anything in there. During my time on Fennin I was guildies with catamander and parataxis, and also guilded with veudayan and tenolyen (shellon). Here are a few of the sigs I made back in the day lol.

My 2-boxing team!

Can't remember half the guilds my alts were in, or where I actually spent most of my time ... am new here, so here it is.

Grubbie Shrubkicker(Vazaelle) halfling druid <Walkers>
Finlaken Cognoggin(E'ci) gnome mage <Dragons Reign>
Mukkle HasBadFaction(E'ci) ogre beastlord <several>

All of this were moved to Test fairly early, where more and more of my time was spent on:

Rustroot iksar SK <Zen Cabal> then <Primal Brood>
Grubbie, Finlaken, Mukkle, Tristram, etc.,etc.,etc., all allts playing for fun.

Never boxed until 3 months ago, just closed my accounts Dec 12/18th, 2011

Enjoying these different servers.

Started up again one day when I was bored and copied to test for a few months in 2009 and I go back to check out whats happening on test about once a year for a month.

Thanks for starting this thread. This was me on Live: Dellanx on The Tribunal.

I stopped playing in 2009, because my back was hurting from sitting in my chair and I started Karate at that time. I am still doing Karate, my back still hurts siting in that chair, maybe I should get a better chair.

In December of 2011 I was watching Project 1999 video on youtube, got nostalgic and got back to eq on THF.

Thanks,
Dellanx :D

Was wondering if there was already a thread going on this topic and... here it is!

I started playing EQ the day it was release, I think on the Xegony server - man, it was packed. So when they released the next wave of servers I took my opportunity to jump ship and start over. Erollisi Marr (Emarr) it was.

I ran with a guild called Da`Kor that did pretty well up through Luclin then sort of fizzled out as we lost a lot of good core players and replaced them with, for lack of a better word, assholes. We did a ton of raiding and I was very vocal on the official EQ message boards, going back and forth on issues with Abashi/Absor, EQ's board reps on broken things with the game (which they mostly ignored via the "lalalala I can't hear you!!" method).

I did a hiatus to play some DAoC when that came out for a bit, then hooked up with the guys from Conquest (those guys are a magnet for getting suspended for stupid/made up shit) on the Lanys server and played some more EQ until we got a WoW guild beta.

I started in 2000 near end of Kunark I believe just before SoV, played for 5 years all on Fennin Ro as High Elf Wizard Elfminster. Didn't do any serious raiding until PoP where I joined TMO (top guild on server, The Mystical Order). Raided everything in PoP & Luclin, & I quit just after GoD. I quit for WoW (dont h8), played WoW for 5yrs, then my best friend told me about THF & how it isn't a giant ass timesink like Live, and raiding is when we want & don't need 40+ ppl to kill bosses. So now I got 3 account on this server with 4 lvl 70s & mostly just 2 box my monk & zeker here, cuz my cpu hates it when I open up that 3rd instance of the game =p.

Sage Elfminster Stormborne <The Mystical Order>
Senei Shrummp Kamauuda <Crystal Realm> 70 Monk
Sage Shrump Kamauuda <Crystal Realm> 70 Wizard
Shrumppo Kamaauda <Crystal Realm> 70 Berserker
Shrumppy Kamaauda <Crystal Realm> 61 Shaman

Started on Fennin Ro with an SK Dark Elf. ( Uannayar ) played for 4 years or so then switched over to luclin. Where i played a Vah Shir Rogue ( Tiwaz ). Was never in a huge high end raiding guild on Fennin. Always wanted to be in TMO. Played in Sheep on Luclin for a while among a couple other higher end guilds! semi quit then found EQ Emu a year or so later. Played on SoA over here then quit again last year and just recently have come back and found THF where I will be staying.

No love for the Terris Thule server? :(
I started playing in 2000 I think right after the release of Kunark. Had a Human Necro, worst choice of race ever! Less mana and couldn't see for crap :p Played up until the middle of luclin, quit for a bit, came back after PoP was released, then quit after LoY and that was it for me which was around 2002 I think.

I started way back in the Alpha/Beta days. I'm sure people could go on forever about the stories from that time. I'll share a couple here because I think they're pretty humourous:

I remember the first "dungeon crawl" I had in beta. I was level 16 (which was a high level at the time) and found a few people to group with so we started to go deep inside NAJENA! Things were going fabulously until we turned this one corner and got absolutely obliterated by.. The Bonecracker. Yes, he completely annihilated our group. Of course back then you couldn't do anything since all of our gear was on our corpses and we couldn't get to them. Thankfully there was a level 32 Shaman running around over near Halas. For those of you familiar with just how amazing it was to traverse continents back then, you can appreciate the 3 hours we waited for him to just arrive. Needless to say, all is well and ultimately he even helped us kill The Bonecracker!

I started off on the Innoruuk server with a guild called Legions of Darkness (LoD), later moving to Ashen Vendetta (AV) and Silent Resurgence (SR). I played a pretty little Dark Elf Druid named Mukkel Fukkel and a big Ogre Warrior named Faaggok Graar. I did a stint on Ayonae Ro with a guild called Coterie Nocturne (CN) - I had a Wood Elf Rogue there named Amerald Eise. Finally, right before leaving EQ I joined up with Fires of Heaven (FoH)... then we all left for WoW. Loved my hardcore raiding back then! Fun times!

I make video games for a living and often don't have the opportunity to play games for an extended period... Somehow I always find myself coming back. Funny how that works!
