Behind the scenes...

We know there hasn't been a lot of updates lately, but we wanted to take the time to give a short preview on some of the things that are being worked on "behind the scenes".

1) Raid Tier 9: we know there has been a lot of chatter about the new raid zones and you can trust us when we say the new encounters will test your abilities and patience beyond anything before. Tier 9 is staged to include two new zones; Dreadspire Keep tier 3 (DSK3) and Vex Thal (VT). DSK3 is 90% done with only about 30 more items to be made, and VT is being populated and designed on a near daily basis. Right now our intention is to try and have DSK3 launched within the month of August and VT by the holiday season. Granted those dates are up to change depending on what happens, but those are our intentions.

2) New Epics!! Recently we finally cracked the coding to weapon particles and have been working on making a whole new set of weapon graphics. Amongst these weapons we have designed brand new Epic 3.0 and 3.5. While we don't want to spoil too much, we are willing to share some of the new graphics with you all.

Along with the new epic weapons, we are also designing new Epic AAs. While we won't give away much detail on the AAs, we can tell you that each class will have their own quest/story line to follow leading up to a powerful new AA ability specifically designed for that class.

3) Code fixes/adjustments: As always we are working on making lots of new code fixes to existing problems. We recently identified a major issue with items constantly being "eaten" and have reworked a lot of the code to help solve the issue. Additionally, we have gone through and concluded the major revamp on items and now have a more streamlined progression from T1-T8.


Always keep in mind that just because the development team seems calm/missing, that normally means we are working 10x harder than normal. We hope that everyone enjoys the small sneak peek at some of the background workings of the server, and once DSK3 launches, you all can expect to see some fun quest additions going live soon after.

All I can say Vaion is : GO BACK TO WORK ASAP ! :lol: :mrgreen:

Thanks a lot for the sneak peeks and don't worry : we all know that you are all doing your utmost to make the place enjoyable, which is successful :)
Awesome content incoming with very cool looking items it seems :)

I light a candle so DSK3 is released within the week because after that I start working again :mrgreen:

Vaion, are you saying you can now add any particle effect to any weapon model?
Thats freaken amazing! You can then produce all base type weapons in each type of particle element: sword of fire, sword of frost, sword of storm etc

Aye, I've been working on breaking the code for the particles for awhile now. I just recently (about 2 weeks ago) made the first major break through and from that I decoded the rest of the data. As it is right now, we are able to manipulate the particles on any weapon and add new particles to any weapon that we want. It's been pretty exciting to play with it and create some unique/custom weapon graphics. The two shown above are some of my favorites, but as of right now, we have 18 unique graphics that are only found on THF.

well , thats just amazing , Can't wait to see those particiles on weaps / Shield / wands.


Next step is to give armor particles :p
