Sexy new hardware...can't wait to get home and try out the new system, it will be cool to see what happens this weekend when HoH fills up to like 80 toons! I'll be sure to post my feedback.

*Thanks a ton* to the THF staff for making it all happen...and happen at no cost to your player base - you didn't have to do this so I appreciate it that much more that you are doing it. And sorry about your mortgage Lillu, but you can tell your family that THF appreciates their sacrifice!

Thanks for updating the server. Lets all hope this one lasts us a long time and doesnt eat to many SSD's.

Honestly, SSD was a fail. It's one of the reason why we had to move and why the old server will be re-installed before setting up dev/test environment on it. The last SSD will definitely be a secondary partition if anything at all..

New server is just awesome. I know I'm a geek but I keep watching performance monitor. 375 players online when I write this, 1-4% processor and 6GB ram usage.. really fast and smooth.

How much ram did you put in the box and what was the rating on it?
Last night I was on for a few hours and besides the usual client DC while zoning several characters at once, was really smooth.

There was a recent memory fix in the eqemu code, a huge one, and that dropped RAM needs drastically so splitting the original 64GB ram was plenty for our 2 main servers. Yesterday we went over 420 players population and we hardly used more than 6GB ram. It's really nice.
At some point there were 100+ players in HoH!
