all of the ruined armor parts drop of the 6 mini-bosses:

Gloom Matriarch - is the spider area very close to entrance

Tordos (earth elemental), Agrys (fire elemental) and Stonejaw (basilisk) - are in the lower caves pits where the rebels are

Krysys is outside the castle near Graxis

and finally Zorge is a distant area where jail is

On crafting: you should be able to craft etched weapon even while in Stonebrunt - the only things you need from Gloomdeep to make them enchanted are the glowing orbs, which drop of mini bosses


Also- there are OTHER crafted items you can make - if follow animal pelts and snake skins through ala-clone- they will leads you to 10 more recipes 2 WR bags, 4 capes and 4 mantles

Yeah, good info. I pretty much figured that about farming minibosses. I also had my eye on the cape/mantles too, but need to research stats before I make my list. It did spark me to start saving any tradeskill stuff that I didnt know recipe results for though.

On the subject of orbs, Im not at home to check screenshots from it or npc, but i could swear the smith needed 3 ore for the weapon, but he handed me back one. I could be wrong, but I remember being puzzled with the confused look on his face. That kobold and I were in a squinching of the eyebrows contest for about 5 seconds...

he seems to give confuse message, no matter what you give him - its a small error with script code parts placement

but i can't see what would make him to give 1 orb back

oh yeah for the future reference: crafted capes and mantles can be found by searching for words "spirit infused" on ala-clone

Well Arial turned in for her class charm (Spirit Gem of Companionship) and her Spirit Infused Composite Bow at 9:45pm CST. I'm still working on mine got my class charm but trying to make my mallet.

Well 11:25pm CST final turn in got Spirit Infused Maulet wooot all done! LOL my cleric is not the best fletcher in the world hehe took him 8 tries to make that thing.

Permanent Pet? She only has one of the clicky elemental pets from Glooming Deep..... Unless your refering to me... ROFL well she is my wife who wouldn't be a pet to a woman that enjoys sitting down a playing EQ with her man hehe
