Advanced Pet Discipline

/pet focus and /pet no cast atm do not work at all. I have the AA maxed and have for the longest time but the command doesn't do anything. /pet no cast wouldn't get too much use but /pet focus is a major help especially while soloing though it can see raid use as well so i would love to see them fixed =D

/pet hold btw works perfectly fine, probably because it's on a separate AA (/pet hold is "Pet Discipline" with only 1 rank, /pet focus and /pet no cast is "Advanced Pet Discipline" with 2 ranks, 1 per command.)

Basically /pet focus acts exactly like a /pet attack except it stays on the target until either the target dies or the pet is pulled off with back off or /pet hold. This way the pet doesn't jump between 10 different mobs instead it burns a single target down. You can either use the command mid combat on a target or use it to replace /pet attack altogether. /pet no cast does exactly what it sounds like lol, makes your pet not cast spells, it will still proc however.

Thanks for your time =D

do you use /pet focus after sending in the pet? Or can you use it to initiate combat and send the pet in?

You can do both actually. I often used it both as a substitute to /pet attack as well as a means of burning down a specific mob on Live

Yeah, it's not coded:/

I went ahead and coded for advanced pet discipline. The pet focus is working, but for some reason the pet no cast was buggy when I tested it (Christmas Eve?). Will revisit it in the next day or two.

I'd like to bump this topic, having bought this AA very recently and noticing it does nothing.
I was quite expecting it too, the pet deciding to switch target is really annoying at time and it would also make managing a double pull way way easier.

I have recently purchased the Advanced Pet Discipline aa's for my mage and I have yet to see /pet focus work. At first I thought maybe it was because of the new revision that it wasn't working but after the rollback it still doesn't work. It's not a must have but, more of a convenience as a pet class to be able to direct my pet and the mobs I want him to go after especially if it's one that is beating on me once I pull healer agro.

I don't suppose the code for this was documented somewhere, or we could possibly revisit this to get this AA working? This AA (/pet focus command) is a very core and game changing ability for pet users to be able to send their pet to attack a target without it switching to another. Is there any way we can get this put back on the list, or higher on the list of things to do for pet classes at some point?

Thanks for all of the work you do on the server guys! I hope we can see this soon! Especially since the code is supposedly already done.. :)

I dont play a pet class main, but derned if this isnt a great tool if it worked well. Would be a pain to keep using /pet hold, then sending it in again, and again, ... and again. good luck with the fix. Will keep watchin this topik
