As long as my pet focuses on my target regardless of any other npc around that cast AE, I will be happy lol. It's so annoying when you want to fight a named with adds and you see your pet running to AE casting npc instead of the named...

/pet no cast is now 100% functional in Titanium and UF clients.

Still working on focus

Focus Update:

Got most of it figured out now.. these are the rules that I am putting into effect for /pet focus:

1) If you have /pet hold turned on and you have /pet focus turned off:
a: Using /pet attack will break /pet hold and force your pet to follow you as it does now
b: You're pet will be immune to aggro until you use /pet attack

2) If you have /pet hold turned off and you have /pet focus turned on:
a: Your pet will receive aggro as normal.
b: Your pet will not switch targets if they already have a target.

3) If you have /pet hold turned on and you have /pet focus turned on:
a: Your pet will not switch targets if they already have a target.
b: If your pet already has a target then they will be immune to all aggro from other targets. They will still receive aggro from their target though.

Still testing this and putting fine touches on everything, but I believe those rules should cover everyone's concerns with /pet focus.

If there is any other inputs/desires with the commands let me know and I will see what I can do.

I am ok with this. Question in regards to hold + focus on, if you command the pet to attack a series of targets will it go through the series in the order commanded and return to you without aggroing anything else?

IE mob a b c, command pet to attack b then c then a - or will the attack command have to be re-issued after each target has died?

As it's set right now the /attack command will have to be reissued.

Since I never played a pet class during raids, what do you guys think would be the overall better way to handle it?

A) /pet Attack must be reissued after each kill
B) The pet will attack NPC in the order that they are on the hatelist after their focused target is dead.

Either way is awesome for me, as long as the pets stop switching targets to the random NPC that casts an aoe that likes to spawn adds every few % causing me to get swarmed. Using pet class as a box normally the attack command gets re-issued anyways for me via backing the pets away and reattacking to be sure its on the right target.

I could see them following the sequence of attacks to be convenient for someone who plays the pet class as a primary though.

TBH whatever is the easiest to implement id say would be the best route.

All in all sounds good, good work.

I'd agree, whichever way is easier to implement. I can and will happily adjust to whatever goes live with focus actually doing something :D

Vaion, you are awesome. I think that choice B would be the best of the two choices, but I am not at all picky. So long as I can have a pet attack an add during an AoE fight, and not have it immediately jump back on the boss. I am not at all picky. Thank you, thank you, thank you for getting this one worked out. :)

Okay final rules as they stand right now:

*New changes from the previous post are in yellow*

1) If you have /pet hold turned on and you have /pet focus turned off:
a: Using /pet attack will break /pet hold and force your pet to follow you
b: You're pet will be immune to aggro until you use /pet attack

2) If you have /pet hold turned off and you have /pet focus turned on:
a: Your pet will receive aggro as normal.
b: Your pet will not switch targets if they already have a target until their current target is dead or /pet back off is used.

3) If you have /pet hold turned on and you have /pet focus turned on:
a: Your pet will not switch targets if they already have a target.
b: If your pet does not have a target, then they will remain immune to aggro (fulfills the role of /pet hold).
c: If you pet has a target, then they will receive aggro normally.
d: Once the current focus target dies, the pet will switch to the next highest NPC on it's hatelist.

Additional changes:
/pet hold will now toggle on and off when used. That way you can tell which rules should be applying to your pet.

UF Client:
Pet focus is a little different:

a) Using /pet focus will toggle between on and off states.
b) Using /pet focus on will toggle on only.
c) Using /pet focus off will toggle off only.
