I was watching one of the soccer games the other night and noticed the guy get kinda tripped up with another player (to no fault to either) and as hes falling he grabs his face and then rolls around in the dirt acting as if he just got punted in the nose or something , i was like wtf is that window licker doing? and seen the other guy he got tangled up with trying to same crap , im like really ? you guys run up and down a field for 90 minutes or more and then youre so much of a sissy that you have to fake injuries to win the game? pretty weak sauce.

And the word soccer originated as a slang term (originating in England) to the term "association football" which was used to differentiate from the original term for football which was called Rugby football. If anything, soccer more closely identifies the name of the sport than football does, regardless of literal meanings to the word "football". =P Therefore, American Football more closely resembles Rugby football than any other sport, and therefore is more suited to carry the name "football".

When soccer -- more universally known as "football" (which of course makes sense because football players use their feet) -- players decided to change their centuries-old game with restrictions such as the no-use-of- hand rules, people who liked this broke away to create rugby.

In the states we have created our own version of the game under the same old name "football" (Gridiron) with more of a rugby style, the whole time forgetting why we call it that.
