To help alleviate the problem temporarily, I have been manually moving people who are afk for more than 30 minutes at the zone port in point. For now it has alleviated a large portion of the lag you get upon zoning in. Whether or not things are altered for those that choose to afk upon zone in or not has yet to be discussed I believe.

In forest someone (not me) with a coh clicky can at least coh a few afk people to the tunnel with the trainers. Unfortunately that cannot be done in vale, because allowing coh opens up the possibility of people cohing to 1.5 mob and exploitation. (I tried the first week or so in vale to make sure that exploit was not available- fortunately dev's fixed it before it had a chance to become a problem).

the only issue is when someone blocking Sune, thats it really. Specially if it's on purpose.

I've never found it to be an unworkable problem. I have always used nearest NPC to target. I also use a macro to target and say the three words to Sune.

It's just an annoyance, but manageable right now. If the server continues to rise in popularity it will just become more of a performance issue for many clients, is all. THV isn't the fix, it doesn't have everything players need so most still congregate and AFK in THF.

Actually the worst thing in the Vale is the BRIDGE! Argh!

Nothing worse than getting buffed then falling in the water

Haha, hate it with a passion. It's not my favourite zone ever but that's just my personal taste and it's nothing too big to worry about.

Lillu, I was thinking about this last night... has it ever been considered to let guilds have their own hubs (or guild houses)? It would alleviate, if not totally eradicate, the problem of over-crowding in THF and would be a nice reward for guilds that, say, manage to complete a (quite high level) guild quest to achieve their own guild instance.

Either it could be a new instanced zone, I have some ideas already of what would be good zones, that guild members can gate back to (make the clicky item another time-sink quest :)) or just an instanced version of THF. In it would be the same things you get in THF (and maybe THV as well), but with some nice perks for guilds - perhaps even time sink quests the guild can partake in as a whole to attain even nicer perks for the guild "zone".

Not only would it help remove an issue (people can AFK in their own guld hub as much as they like), it would open up a new line of quests, give guilds some rewards for working together and also, I think, would be another feature of the server to set it apart from the others out there. It would bring prestige to guilds and to the server.

If you were interested in the idea I'd be happy to do a little research into suitable zones and suggestions for application/quests. I have a few ideas for this :)
